Huge game against Gillingham. Feel like a draw would be fine, but a win would in my opinion all but secure a PO spot, with the teams outside the top 7 having a lot of ground to make up and most of them running out of games to do it.

A defeat would really set the alarm bells ringing though.

Given their supporters chat absolute shite on here it'd be good to get one over them. Not massively confident though.

It's a 50/50.

Yeah not confident really. Mansfield seem to have massively overcome their goalscoring issues from early season which looked their only weakness when we played them previously.

That said they seem to be already celebrating the Title win, so maybe a bit of a reality check would be good. Not sure about making it more likely Stockport will win the league though, I'd probably prefer Mansfield to win the whole thing.

Just a shame our form at home has taken a wobble of late. It won't be over whatever happens, it's going to the last day regardless this season. Draw banker I would say.

I’ll agree to a point.

Grimsby at home and a must win game that could put us as high as 4th - and would make us the inform team at just the time we need to be.

It’ll be a tough game against wrexham and hoping for a strong ref, would happily take a point if offered, wrexham are rightful favourites for the game and there will be pressure from the home fans expecting a win, though whatever the result we’d remain on top spot

Wrexham in the league at home was one of those early games where we just couldn’t put the ball in the net, and should’ve been out of sight by the half hour.

Not been back to the racecourse since the fa trophy game we had there in the 1st season we both had down in the pit of misery.

Normal procedure in games against Crewe is that the home side wins, with the occasional rare exception.

Crewe won the reverse, so it's our turn. Plus we really need the win, a point isn't a bad result for them.

Not if you lost and we beat Forest Green. And then we'd still have a game in hand.

One thing is for certain, whether we win, lose or draw, Maynard will say it’s a good performance and that’s all that matters

Probably more enjoyable being crucified than watching Bradford v Tranmere…

Apparently going to be some protests at our game.

Can't see us winning. Fifth loss on the bounce.

Two teams with little or nothing to play for. Rovers tend to be benevolent with opponents on a bad run.

I think we've got you beat on that. Beaten by teams who hadn't won in 7 and 8 games with no clean sheets. They rolled up and beat us 3-0. We're creating next to nothing and the manager is starting four fullbacks in each game. Hoofball up to Cook with no one around him, players out of position, and persisting with crap players: He played Ridehalgh as a right centre-back against Notts haha.

Only reason I'm going. Need to get these fuckers out of our club

Same. Need to get them out pronto. Can't be going into the summer with the current regime.

I’m in York Good Friday so missing the protests, just hope they’re not half arsed and twenty people turn up which would be more our fan base’s style.
Don’t think anyone could care less about the game, I know someone who spoke with one of the players who admitted there’s some who don’t look interested, they didn’t like changing style under Hughes from one that reached the PO’s and now a manager who just wants to lump it.

Bratfud made a Notts side low on confidence and in truly awful form look like Juventus reserves in the second half. Not sure any level of benevolence will help the Bantams..

Naturally I don't care about them but even I want new owners in to sort out the mess and give Frithy something to talk about other than attendances.

When you rocked up to VP and absolutely battered us from start to finish, it was the greatest day of your life.

But for us, it was Tuesday.

How can you suggest that after the opening day demolition of the much fancied Bantams at Meadow Lane in August 2009. It was a 5-0 drubbing and is Magpies realised instantly just how good Lee Hughes was at that level.

That was a Saturday, last Tuesday was just relief that there was worse.

It wasn't even our greatest day against Bradford in my lifetime.

Win this one and we can take things quite deep into the season. Salford doing ok though recently so we’ll have to be improved on what we have been. I think this will likely be where things end for us. No chance of us winning last 5 games. Can see Colchester turning over Newport at home.

Rides as a left-side of a back three with wing-backs worked quite well on occasion during his time at Rovers. Think he had one disastrous outing at right-back when we’d run out of options.

I don't fancy us to get much from our next five: Stockport (h), Crewe (a), MK Dons (h), Mansfield (a) and Wrexham (a)...if we could pick up four points from that lot it would be little short of a miracle, I can see our goal difference taking a hammering from at least a couple of them. If it goes really badly and either you or Colchester pick up a couple of wins we could be the first through the trap-door.

Can't see us losing Friday. Could easily.draw though. Need to win if our small playoff chance remains.

Cheer up Bish, he's on borrowed time now and lose two this weekend and he'll have to go.
I've been just about on Maynards side, it's not easy replacing a very popular manager who left at the right time but yesterday he burned most of his boats, dropping Ashby Hammond for keeping a clean sheet and starting Jones on the right where he's been far less effective and playing Chicksen as a wingback.
We gifted Salford the first half by his crap formation.

Swindon entirely beatable, bottom five in the form tables but we won't, maybe we'll scramble a draw but I think we'll lose.
