Preston are extremely average, can't see them challenging Swindon and MK who are better footballing sides.. City are moving away now!!

Haha what's your beef with Preston? 3 posts so far and 2 of them have been digs at us...?

Slightly concerning that PNE have had a torrid 2 months but are still in a promotion race..

As for us, we're consistently moving in the right direction, and the results have been fantastic for us this week.

Roll on Saturday.

Yeh bit harsh on Preston. Clearly Garner is a massive player for them and now he is back they could go on another run like they did earlier on in the season. 8 wins in a row or something?

Yeah. It's a bit shit that we are so reliant on one player but as soon as he got injured, first thing I said was as long as we are within touching distance when he's back we will have a chance.

His return has had a massive impact on everyone at the club. The fans are more relaxed and the players look more confident, it's incredible how different things are to 2 weeks ago!

They'll be lots of ups and downs over the next few months. City and Prestons night this time; hopefully ours will be round the corner

City and Preston the big winners. Having Garner back must be like a new signing.

We have a tough away trip at Scunny this weekend. Not losing would be helpful!

The L1 promotion race is by far the most exciting in English football atm in my view.

1 shite month to be fair, we did ok in December, even without Garner.

Your point stands though, MK Dons and Swindon are gash.

How's Bajner actually doing for you? I know he scored last night. I really hope he succeeds.

He's done well so far tbh considering he's basically playing as a lone striker in a defensive team with little support. His only real weakness as a footballer appears to be his finishing (which is a problem for a striker I suppose) but hopefully last night's goal kicks him off. He arrived completely unfit as well, he's got better every game in that regard but his first couple of starts he was fucked after 65 minutes so no wonder he didn't pull up any trees at your place.

Well yeah, obviously you'll get a decent fee, but someone will pay it.

I'm not sure they will. We'd be asking a minimum of 3mil for him I'd fancy and he's a sketchy past Championship record at best, plus its not like he's 21/22.

Everyone has a price ultimately, just as long as it's reinvested shrewdly.

I'd be surprised if we go up so more than likely, Rotherham have been interested but i'm not sure they have the financial clout to get him.

I firmly believe he will do the business at that level if given another crack, he's improved tenfold since the player we signed from Watford. I personally think Kevin Davies has played a big part in his development. He's a physical targetman as well as a poacher and a cheat these days.

He wouldn't leave us for Rotherham IMO.

I could see something like Bastard Rovers finally selling Rhodes for silly money (12-15mil) to the greed league and then paying us 4mil or so for Garner.

Blackburn's not a bad shout, I think they will get decent money for Gestede in the summer too.

Burnley will get relegated and use the parachute payment money to buy him to replace Ings.

I'm not sure I could cope with that.

Is that like how Chesterfield fans were wanting £2m or so for Eoin Doyle?

No, not really.

More like Sam Baldock going for £2m.

So how much are Williams, Forte and Bradshaw worth in your opinion? All having scored more/a similar amount.

None of them are in the same class as Garner and all those clubs are in a position to have their pants pulled down financially, we're not, which is obviously the biggest factor.

Swindon have shown ambition and kept hold of Kassim and Luongo this January but they will go for less than they were initially offered I would imagine if they don't go up. There would probably be a bit of a fire sale down there listening to their chairman earlier in the season.

You're making an extremely poor point.

Bradshaw would possibly be Garner's replacement, I reckon 750k to a Mil would be the sort of price range.
