Our first signing of the summer is 20 year old Daniel Adshead from Norwich. We've apparently paid a fee for him. I know nothing about him though other than what I've just read in this story:

Came through our youth system, played a few games as a 16 yo, then sold to Norwich for 100k(?) & % of future profits. Please tell me that 'Nam have paid a million... :)

finally!! Former Norwich City midfielder Daniel Adshead is CTFC's first signing, he's been out and about but spent time with Gillingham this season, any comments Gills fans?
Honestly barely noticed him. Limited player but tried is probably a fair assessment.

Will Vaulks sounds like it’s close to being a done deal. Very good signing for L1 on paper at least.

Rumours round here that Rotherham have met the release clause of Cohen Bramall (left back) for £200,000.

He's heading into his last year of contract, and whilst ridiculously fast, there is still a lot to learn, especially in his defensive game.

Happily take the £200,000!

Max Melbourne and Farrend Rawson have also signed for us alongside Donald Love. Not really impressed by them so far, feels abit 'meh' at the moment.

Rawson sounds like he was really inconsistent in League 2 let alone League 1. What's Melbourne like Lincoln fans? He sounds like the best of the 3.

The only thing i remember of Rawson from last season is Mansfields defeat by Sutton at home. Absolute howler from the lad.
No wonder they converted a striker and midfielder to their CB positions ahead of him

Hi, please see the comment below from Luke a few pages back. I agree with him. Max is a hardworker but inevitable he was moving on end of season, just expected him at a league 2 side
For me, and I think it was a generally accepted view amongst the majority of Lincoln fans, he isn't quite a L1 defender. He'll not be really out of his depth or anything, will never let anyone down, great attitude, good height and physique, will want to defend but he got bullied at times here and his positional sense isn't perfect.

He came here as a LB but wanted to play CB so it'll be interesting to see where he ends up. Only 23 as well so plenty of time to improve. Hope he does well, as will everyone else I think.

Nathan Holland supposedly incoming. I have no idea if he's any good or not.
Loan or signing? Looking at his history he's spent a good bit of time at Oxford on loan. At 24 I doubt hes ever going to play for West Ham though.

Edited to add, just seen his contract has expired so I presume a free signing.

Hull's £3m and Burnley's £4m bids don't meet our valuation for Twine which is good to see.

He was released last season, though at 24 I don't know if we need to pay compensation or not.

£200k for Bramall! Not sure what Rotherham see in him because he doesn't strike me as their kinda player tbh.

I've never been his biggest fan anyway and take his pace away and you're not left with a lot are you? Final ball very hit and miss, doesn't like defending, weak in the air and needs his pace to get out of trouble. Did ok going forward for us at times but not enough. We need a far better defensively solid left back than him this season in my opinion, which could be Robson with Roughan as back-up.

These announcements are getting out of hand.

Also will teach me to never listen to anyone “ITK” again as neither player signed are the two mentioned.

Can't see Twitter on my work computer but is that the Egbo signing?

Was absolutely class for us and I've no doubt you have a brilliant attacking RB on your hands. Gutted to see him go but it's clear he was very fond of Garner.

It is, love island style.

Have to admit to not knowing much about him but having seen Swindon fan’s reaction, I’m pleased with it.

Just hope Masi approves.

He was training with us for ages last season, apparently trying to get fit whilst looking for a gig abroad. We then had a bit of an injury crisis and offered him a short term deal. He only played 11 games but was consistently good. Think he got 3 assists in his first few games and was an instant favourite. He ended the season really strongly and were keen to hold onto him. Alas our loss is very much your gain. He is strong, fast, aggressive and good going forward.

If he doesn't work out for you, we'll have him back!

On the bright side, at least it’s not Reed!

Aidan Stone has signed a further 1 year on top of the year the club triggered, please at that a good age and broke into the team after the horror's of Tomas Holy and karate king Lucas Covolan has left the number 1 spot up for grabs, saw us then hit the run of 8 wins and a draw in 9 and made the crucial fifth penalty save in the shoot out against Swindon.

Did have a couple of mares in the final showing his inexperience but luckily we got away with them and deserves a chance to push on longer term.

Random rumour on our forum linking us to Tommy Leigh at Accrington. There's definitely room in our squad for another attacking mid, but I've never heard of this guy.

22, worked his way back up from non-league after being released by Pompey. 6 goals in 22 games last season which can't be sniffed at.

Good on him. I have to be honest he doesn’t convince me and especially on crosses has little command of the area. On another day the two errors from him in the playoff final could easily have led to us losing that game and he needs to iron that out. Would rather hear about the three out of contract players at this point though.

Brendan Wiredu in for six figure sum. Rated very highly at Colchester and hopefully can only get better. Sure Scott Brown can help him to another level, fair play to Andy Pilley who is backing the manager with one or two more due to come in. Think we have a good chance of improving on last season's finish, mind you that's not saying much !
