given that Cheltenham is fairly near FGR it might be us - Cooper will probably know about him from his time at FGR.

Is everyone expecting a busy day tomorrow for their clubs?

It's no secret that we are chasing a striker, it would seem Derek Adams has identified his first choice, but waiting for the players current club to bring in their target. I expect this to go to the wire. The only rumour we have had is Omar Bogle from Doncaster, Adams did deny he was a target last week though, bluffing perhaps?

Our young central midfield player Elliot Watt is the likeliest to depart if reports that a couple of Championship clubs are eyeing him up are correct. If sold that would leave Adams with a last minute hunt for at least one midfield player, although he has openly stated that he wanted to strengthen midfield even without Watt leaving, but his hands were tied financially as a striker was priority as we only have Cook and Lavery as fit options. Angol likely to be out for months.

Strap yourselves in everyone for another hectic deadline day tomorrow

It seems everyone and their mother are after this elusive centre forward.

We still need bodies, definitely another striker, potentially another centre back? Although Zaine Francis Angol has looked impressive there in his last two games.

Everyone seems to be chasing a striker. Garner says he doesn’t want an academy type but if the right player isn’t available he won’t bother signing anyone. He only wants a small, tight knit squad of 18 players so I wouldn’t be surprised if nobody gets signed.

We are expecting to sign a striker and possibly a centre half now as cover for Legge who’s out for a few months.

I hope this is not us. Quite frankly I’d rather we focused on developing our own young talent like Eden Bailey than someone like him.

Getting in someone like Isaac Olaofe great do that but I’m not really keen on bringing in someone for the sake of it.

We’ve been expecting activity since Micky said the squad didn’t have enough after our friendly win v Rangers but only a couple arrived so far.

Like almost everyone, another striker a priority, with Agard the name most mentioned now. After that suggested we might be getting Lee O’Connor on loan from Celtic again. Mark Duffy’s been training with us for a couple of months, might get an offer. Probably need a wide player with some pace and defensive cover too.

Taylor says he’s still looking at a couple of incomings. We’re currently light in midfield so a loan in that position is most likely.

Some fans also seem to think we should be looking at a target man type to complement Amond and Nombe, which I’d be ok with. It’s just finding that someone!

I can see us possible loaning out a couple of younger players but that can happen after the deadline I think. Ben Seymour should go to get games, should we bring in another forward.

We’re now supposedly flogging George Tanner. With little to no time to replace him. If we’re lucky we might get some loanee whose never played a pro game in his life. :ffs:

Could the last one out please turn out the lights?

Jamie Hanson is your man if you want a midfielder.

Thought he looked a really good player going forward at least against us. Presumably you'd get a decent fee I suppose.

300k with add ons is what the Bristol press are now reporting.

I'd say that is still a significant fee for a L2 defender and assuming you get a sell on clause inserted that is not a bad deal at all. Probably not ideal timing mind but I think most clubs in this division would be happy enough with that for a defender.

We’ll see over the next day or so how much the club value our football league status.

We’re shite in attack, but we’ve had the silver lining of being reasonably solid defensively. Now over the last 2 weeks we’ve flogged 2 of our first choice defenders and brought no one in (yet).

Nothing of note. It disappears. It’s what this club does. Zero ambition.

We also got quite a bit of money last year as part of the Dean Henderson deal. Add ons for when he played for MU, then when he debuted for England.
They’d probably say it disappeared due to COVID

Well with you being part-time that’s a ridiculous excuse.

Exactly. There were other cost cuts as well on top of the players going part time. So the excuse won’t wash.

We've just signed defender Luke Hendrie, last seen at Grimsby, no clue tbh?

We had him on loan a few years ago, steady enough. He is a Bantams fan and wanted to stay permanently, the manager wanted him, however the chairman at the time, Rahic, said he wasn't good enough, big fall out behind the scenes
