Yeah, you’re allowed two now I think. We were always likely to do it again with the owners and the success of Ruben/semi-success of Eli Sam.

what's the point of having foreign owners if they don't occasionally sign some foreign future cult hero?

I can't believe we haven't bought any Americans yet tbh.

Looks like the McKirdy deal is actually a runner - alongside Aaron Drinan, ex Orient.

Looks like our business is done. Couldn't agree a fee with Rotherham for Lindsay.

They'll lose his for free in the summer instead I guess?

Very happy with Ed Turns signing. We needed a replacement for O'Riordan and from what Orient fans say the lads good and was a big part of them winning the league last year.

Ed Turns about to sign for us. Been on loan at Orient for two spells in both L1 and L2.
He did well for us last season in the run in, can play a bit as well with both feet and covered left back a few times too.

This season with the step up, he's not quite found his best form. but has still played his part. Recently not got into the team at all because our backline from last season has managed to get fit and find form again, plus we brought in Brandon Cooper pernamently.

Slight downside is he isn't the tallest for a CB and a few of the more direct sides bullied him a bit, last two times we played Steve Evans Stevenage they've beat us 3-0 both times and Turns started both games and Jamie Reid ran him ragged in both games, the second time he had to be subbed off.

Best of luck to him, he very much played his part for us last season.

not sure how we paid money for Drinan

We'll have taken over his contract only I suspect. Doubt out owners would be that brazen to break our embargo rules!

We've sold Drinan to you - I am amazed someone has paid a fee for him!

His best form for us was when he played in a two up front with Harry Smith and the pair of them got 16 and 15 goals together. Although all but 3 of the goals for him came before Christmas.

He lost alot of confidence and form in a 15 game winless run we went on, then Wellens came in and changed how we play. He is quick and can press, which benefited the way Wellens plays - But he misses alot of chances and isn't the most clinical in front of goal.

IMO he needs to play in a two up front, he's not clinical enough to play up front on his own.

Having said all that, he's been mainly injured the last 18 months - Torn his hamstring 3 times and been out for sustained periods each time, he's not played for us for 2 months.

A fresh start might do him good to get himself fit again, IMO he needs to play in a two up front though.

Don't get too excited. We're under an embargo and not allowed to pay fees so suspect we've just taken on his contract or something.

Thanks for the feedback though. Wonder if we'll go with Charlie Austin and Drinan up front then.

Donovan Wilson gone on loan to Crawley.
Pretty perplexed at this as every time I’ve seen him he’s been excellent and always looks like he’s gonna score.
Baffled at that decision I just don’t understand it at all.

I don't think Matthews is happening. The final signing will be a younger academy player. Sean McGurk from Leeds.

A bit left field that one. Although our defence needs shoring up with Johnson out injured, Biler regularly picking up yellows and reds and Pearce and Brown also getting on a bit.

Who do we reckon has had the worst window?

Grimsby for me.

Lost their best player, signed a load of nobodies and still got that David "Dave" Artell as manager.

I'm praying I'm wrong but got a feeling they're down. One of Forest Green or Sutton will make a major play at a great escape. It's rarely as straightforward as it's heading at the moment.

The reason we are so shit is purely down to our defence and we’ve tried our best to address that with these signings. Whether they work out or not remains to be seen but we couldn’t really have done much more than that.

Artell needs to get back to basics. Got a feeling he's too proud to do it. I wouldn't have a seconds doubt you'd have stayed up with Hurst.

Josh Kelly.from Solihull moors.
Decent signing that. Been a good player down in the NL for a few seasons now.

Started the season well but his performances have got worse, don't really see what he offers. Can definitely finish but low work rate. I'd rather he didn’t leave as his goals to minutes ratio is ridiculous so he could be a good option off the bench but I'm not massively arsed.

Somehow we've managed to offload 3 players not getting game time and 1 wantaway keeper on loan to League 1... Connor Grant the latest that's supposedly going on loan to Barnsley, announcement to come later on.

3 in at Crawley. Don Wilson in loan from Grimsby.
Jeremy Kelly from USA and Mustafa Olungagao (I think) in loan from Huddersfield.

I don't have a scooby about any off them.

Signed Charlie Kirk. Not sure what other offers he had, but the fans will be delighted with this if it works out. Got a lot to prove to various doubters, but could be a game changer for us in the promotion race.

A good, solid window from us, added to our weakest positions with players with experience higher up the pyramid.

Looks like we missed out on one last minute, probably Kirk.

Interesting the club haven’t announced Wilson, I wonder if the last minute loss of a target has scuppered that deal.
