Wales will be back home this time tomorrow getting ready for their parade which shows what a poor side they are.

They might be back home tomorrow. But at least it will be as a result of losing to a team which is better than them and who they're not expected to beat. And I suspect at least they'll give it their all and won't be an embarrassment, unlike our own team on Monday.

if England got knocked out in the quarters we'd be fuming.

If we played half-arsed shit against a team we were better than and lost? We would be annoyed, as per Monday. If we gave it our best and lost to a superior team? No, we wouldn't. In fact, the quarter finals of a major tournament is better than we've come to expect from England recently. What right would we have to be fuming?

I know you're trying to get bites by saying such a stupid thing but I'm not a hardcore England fan, I support them obviously but I've never been to a game.
I'm not trying to get a bite, I would never, ever do that. I'm just saying you're quite obviously extremely upset at the fact that Wales are - objectively, empirically, verifiably - a better football team than England. I don't like it any more than you do, but Wales are in the quarters having won 3 out of 4, and England just followed the blueprint of their last few tournaments. Rubbish.

Wales has been fluking the whole tournament. Won't last long. Belgium will easily win against the poorest team left in the tournament imo.

Stop trolling Sam, just being jealous.

Dyke would've got Hodgson a new contract for reaching the Q's, so nah you wouldn't be fuming.

“We have been pretty clear,” Dyke said. “No decision taken until this tournament is over. If we (England) have done well and played well then I think it will be renewed.
“Semi-finals would be great. Quarter-final if we have played really well, hit one of the best sides and lose or go out on penalties. That is the sort of discussion that will go on.

Other than Euro 96, where England were the beneficiaries of a couple of dodgy offside decisions on their way to the semifinals, England have only gotten as far as the quarter finals twice in the current European championship format

Wales probably wouldn't even be in the tournament if it wasn't for the 8 team increase. They would of lost there playoff against a better side more than likely. However they've done what they've had too and beat shit teams something we couldn't do apart from the once. I'd safely bet anyone Wales won't qualify for russia

If that's true I'm glad we lost. Perhaps the players knew this too, hence the performance.

Everything I said there is simply a fact. The fact you didn't argue any of my points proves me right.

Because your points are bitter rantings

Have you seen our group? Austria, Serbia, Ireland, Georgia and Moldova. Not saying we're 100% going through but we have a more than decent shot

Come on. You can't talk about us getting to a semi final twenty years ago, then imply a couple of offside decisions is the only reason it happened. Offside decisions happen all the time in football, both for an against teams.

But yes, his claim that we'd be fuming about being knocked out in the quarter finals is bullshit given our record of reaching that far in both the Euros and World Cup since Italia 90.

Wales have a chance at this, if it's their day they'll win no problem. If Bale doesn't perform, though, Belgium will win.

Think Wales can do this tonight. Still not impressed by Belgium really and think it will be close. Not a great fan of Wales but good luck to them.

I have to say my tongue was firmly in my cheek at that point.

However my memories of Euro 96 are of England being poor in a couple of their games, and of Italia 90 being poor for most of the tournament. Lesson, results are what matters in tournaments...

More bite in this thread than a Tyson fight!

As for the game... think it will be close, Belgium by 1. Don't expect Wales to score but don't expect Belgium to be able to play through them..

Barely any of the Belgium players are singing the anthem. I think that means they'll lose doesn't it?

The Welsh must be licking their lips looking at that Belgian back line.

You've got to expect them Bale to score now so it'll come down to whether they can keep a clean sheet.

They'll need the ball first. Good last ditch defending there though.

Robson-Kanu should do better with that header there.

Beautiful gooooooooooal!!

Distinctly un-Xavi/un-Pirlo like misplaced pass from Allen to give Belgium the ball in the lead up to the goal.

Was Hazard asking the ref for a Chester card there? Unsporting midget.
