Thought I'd start a general Africa thread for those that may be interested. I've been following the story of the Gambian presidency election since Yahya Jammeh was firstly voted out and then looked like he was actually going to concede power to Barrow.
Predictably he then changed his mind and has decided to stay foot. Barrow was sworn in today in Senegal and troops from Senegal have moved over the boarder backed by other West African leaders. I thought this was going to get messy but it seems that the Gambian Army have said they are not going to get involved so it seems he doesn't have their backing in it R way.... Although foriegn troops in your country is always asking for trouble.
