Carlisle are one of those clubs I am always surprised they're not a bigger club, feel like their potential is huge with how far away they are from other professional clubs.

It's like Hull, I cannot believe they're not a bigger club considering the size of the city and how they're the only team in East Yorkshire

The producers were obviously looking for a traditional football league club who were on their knees and had suffered more than anyone/most in the past decade and a half.

Wrexham fans are very very fortunate that they were such a shit show for so long. It's worked in their favour and I'm all for it. Perfect club / town for the celebs to ride into on their netflix horses to become instant saviours and turned around the beleaguered club. I'm all for it, can't think of a more deserving fanbase.

I'm also supportive and impressed with the Carlisle owners, I know next to nothing about them and not would even know who the owners were if it wasn't for Carver's amusing and somewhat naive postings suggesting who they were going to poach from L2. They are putting serious money into the long term infrastructure of the club, much like media shy brothers who own the world's oldest football club.

Improving your stadium, pitch, fan experiences and match day and on match day revenue streams isn't to be sniffed at. Others choose to ignore it or more commonly can't afford to.

Bravo both clubs, now please by all means carry on....

I think you would have done fine in L1 this season, we were just nowhere near ready for L1 level and punched above our weight getting promoted last season.

However we've learned a lot of what L1 is about now and the type of players that are needed for this level and the style of football which is much better than L2 by the way but not a million miles away especially in the bottom half. The current top 4 in L2 should cope allright in L1 because they all have a bit of money behind them and a decent infrastructure, but if anyone else goes up instead like Barrow for example then they will be easily swept aside in L1.
i think if we make promotion then our silent Texan oil tycoon becomes more hands on once again I reckon.

Just feel they're sat there asking for a bit of a ribbing, you not agree? Have they been like this all season? Acting like they're the poster boys for football business done right because they managed to get themselves into such a sorry state that just fixing them was Netflix-worthy
I think when you look at most threads that have any anti Carlisle stuff posted most of it is some sort of response to Carver starting it off just by being a knob and so fans of other clubs reacting to that just to try and piss Carver off.
Of course you have the misfortune to support the same club as one of the top 3 bell-ends on this forum so based on that there is always gonna be some stuff posted that may annoy you but that is actually purely aimed at said bell-end.

I know very little about Hull other than that big bridge and the deep, but is it not a bit of a rugby city? May be mistaken because I know fuck all about that sport, other than they like to do weird stuff to each other in the changing room.

Well you're unquestionably the number one bell end here.

Hellogregory (Wherever he is) is number two.

Yeah it is a rugby city but the team has been good enough that they should be a bigger club really

Until this year, they've been getting similarish attendances to Huddersfield which is a much smaller place surrounded by big clubs.

over the summer we're building or beginning work on the the following:

extended space in the concourses for extra food and refreshments and new turnstiles

covered wheelchair accessible terracing

a large new space for boxes and hospitality, more than doubling our existing capacity for both

a new big screen which will be in place for the Euros

a new training facility with outdoor floodlit 3g pitch, indoor full size 3g pitch and three full size grass pitches, areas set aside for community use

redecorated changing rooms and renewed indoor training facilities at Brunton Park

LED perimeter advertising

what are you doing? gonna traipse over to America to get humped by Chelsea again? Getting sponsored by Meccano so you can build more stands?
Well apart from buying the ground back, reopening the academy which we had to close th ough lack of central. funding about 15 years ago, funding a semi professional women's team, building a new training ground, increasing the charitable, community and outreach work of the club, increasing our sponsorship and merchandising revenue by many many times. Oh and obviously the Emmy award winning documentary and trips to the USA that piss everyone off but bring in millions of pounds to help sustain the club.

Oh we have LED perimeter advertising too. We did that about three years ago. All that stuff is admirable but I don't think it's enough to make a club sustainable on it's own. What else are you doing?

You've still not listed anything that we haven't already done. Stuff like the increased facilities for disabled fans we did before we were bought out. And unlike you I haven't suggested that Carlisle shouldn't do any of that or should 'go back to the dog and duck league'.

Well we signed Luke Armstrong AND YOU DIDN'T!

And from what we have seen of him since he came here is he's shown that he's the best player outside of the Championship.

You missed out on him big time all because of an admin error. How tinpot is that?

For years Carlisle public are usually tight with the cash so have a tough issue that when things go well we can easily attract 10,000 plus home fans but when things go bad we can drop down to 2,000 home fans, we don’t usually have stable numbers and means we can get great gates one season and dreadful the next……hard to push forward with that.

What is your view that they are charging 8.5% interest on the loans they are providing rather than buying shares with the money they are pumping in.

I don't know enough about the internal workings of the club to have a view really . That's where the potential worry is but I don't think it's as worrying as people are making out because they aren't likely to just walk away.

We've also replaced the floodlights and the electronic scoreboard at an enormous cost.

Haven't got a BIG SCREEN for the Euros or painted a few walls in the dressing room though, so Carlisle win this one.

OK never mind all of that. Why are you (or at least why are other Wrexham fans since I didn't see you in this thread before) so obsessed with us? We haven't played you in donkey's, probably won't be playing you next season and yet I come down to see what's going on back in L2 since we'll be here next season to find loads of Wrexham fans banging on about our impending double relegation, which I thought was very rich considering how long they had to endure down there.

We couldn't care less about you. Ask Carver why he brings us up all the time? that's the only reason any of us respond.

There was that funny video from the Carlisle fan calling UK "Oil Money Wetsum" when we bought Hayden but other than that I don't think we give you much thought at all.

I don't know why they laugh at our struggles either Shoddy, but I think it must be because of jealousy after we pinched Armstrong from right under their noses. Before that happened Wrexham fans probably thought no one could touch them on transfers as if they always had the first pick ahead of any other football league club.

Did you miss us?

Well I tell you what, whoever doesn't go up from L2 in the current top 4 will be in for a rough season next year with us down here because I think we could be the strongest team ever to play in this league.
