I think he'll be in the dugout. It's got to be a boost, losing Williams put everyone on a downer but an away point after six straight away losses and now a new manager and things look suddenly rosier.

He’s not going to be able to change or do much in a day, but you’d think we’re in with a fair chance of a result here. Less than a month since we played at Edgeley Park and we never should’ve lost that game but are generally a far better side at home.

Big decision in midfield where Robertson looked a bit lost on debut last week but wouldn’t be the first to take a bit of time to get up to speed with our mad ways. We really need him to be a solid option in that position so I’d stick with it.

Depends if they can get on top of us - he is if you can pin us back and make us do some defending because he's big and physical, but if we have our usual 70% possession then someone like Olaofe is more of a problem because Wootts is never really likely to be much of a threat running in behind the high line.

Our game at Salford this evening was called off yesterday prior to the team travelling up. I wasn't sure why nobody had seemingly had the foresight at the beginning of the week to revert it back to tomorrow afternoon given Saturday's forecast, but if other games are still being called off a day early then I doubt that would have helped.

Neither do I, it's a bit of a free hit for Maynard, and the ££ from another huge crowd should outweigh any 'let's give him a week to settle in' messing around.
