Imagine our players will feel liberated by not having a c*** who abuses them in charge when they get to Priestfield. Don't want to get carried away but they might even score more than one goal

Will he be taking charge officially?

Or is one morning session enough to say "Lads, have you tried defending"
I think he'll be in the dugout. It's got to be a boost, losing Williams put everyone on a downer but an away point after six straight away losses and now a new manager and things look suddenly rosier.

He’s not going to be able to change or do much in a day, but you’d think we’re in with a fair chance of a result here. Less than a month since we played at Edgeley Park and we never should’ve lost that game but are generally a far better side at home.

Big decision in midfield where Robertson looked a bit lost on debut last week but wouldn’t be the first to take a bit of time to get up to speed with our mad ways. We really need him to be a solid option in that position so I’d stick with it.

If we play like the game at EP we'll lose. We were fortunate to win that night in some ways, just seemed to score at the right times and luckily Notts lacked a final ball.

Our 11 could look quite different to that night. Wouldn't surprise me if at least 5 outfield players are different. All season we've never had a settled side due to injuries, we've lost 2 or 3 since then but possibly have some others back and 2 or 3 have come in through the door.

I'd put out a team with as much legs in as we can to press Notts. Madden, Wootton, Powell all on the bench for me.

Can’t believe that Harrogate are 6/4 to beat us at home, they always beat us and currently they are flying so staggered they are not odds on.

Good call, I'm having a bit of that.

Me too although only got 11/8, which is still appealing.

Hope they've watched the tape from last week. Get the ball out wide. Put the ball in low. Goal.

Wootton is exactly the sort of player to give County problems imo.

That name rings a bell.....

Always liked Kyle, difficult not to when he's playing for club. Should get a respectful reception on his return to the Lane.

And yes if he plays he will no doubt score again.

Depends if they can get on top of us - he is if you can pin us back and make us do some defending because he's big and physical, but if we have our usual 70% possession then someone like Olaofe is more of a problem because Wootts is never really likely to be much of a threat running in behind the high line.

The bookies have surely missed a trick on Crawleys odds, they look massive given the circumstances

Good call, I'm having a bit of that.

Before you do you might want to consider that Grimsby have strengthened their squad while Harrogate will be without key players due to injury.

Our games off. Rearranging for Tuesday apparently

It's raining on Tuesday, it'll be waterlogged.

May as well call County off in a fortnight too, while we're at it.

Our game at Salford this evening was called off yesterday prior to the team travelling up. I wasn't sure why nobody had seemingly had the foresight at the beginning of the week to revert it back to tomorrow afternoon given Saturday's forecast, but if other games are still being called off a day early then I doubt that would have helped.

The game at Meadow Lane is bound to be on because we have a really good playing surface and like some don't use old blankets and duvet covers to protect it during low and sub zero temperatures.

I wouldn't be so sure, but if it's off, it's because we want it to be off.

Can't see you wanting it to be off. New manager bounce, we'll still have at least 8 out, I hope it's on for our fans that are going but it would be better from a playing perspective for us to have it off.

Neither do I, it's a bit of a free hit for Maynard, and the ££ from another huge crowd should outweigh any 'let's give him a week to settle in' messing around.

Did you invest in that instead of a defence?
