I thought I could start this thread as it could attract some interest because he might end up in England and I always talk about him.
First of all, let me just say Bolanos is a brilliant player. He's had 3 phenomenal years in South American football and he's ready to take on a higher level.
Lets go over his stats.
44 goals in 75 appearances for Emelec
6 goals in 12 appearances for Ecuador
And if you think that its just because he plays in Ecuador, well he's got about 16 goals in the last 3 continental competitions leading Emelec to a 2015 Copa Libertadores quarter final and 2014 Copa Sudamericana quarter finals.
Enough of that. Here are some of the rumours.
Brighton: This seems most likely as English sources are reporting this. However there are some people saying he "doesn't fancy the championship". I'm not confident he'll succeed in England given how many good South American players do poorly in England, and also the fact he'll have to learn English, but he is a very good player though and at his prime he would do very well in the championship.
Espanyol: I only saw one source say this, and considering Caicedo is at Espanyol and that Espanyol is based in a spanish speaking country, its a very possible destination. I'm much more confident he'll do well in Spain as well.
Fenerbahce: Turkey is not the ideal place, but considering Fenerbahce is a big club, and a pretty good team as well, it could be a good place for him. However I'm not sure he'll start because of Van Persie.
Those are a few that I've seen have interest in them. Considering some of the facts regarding South Americans going to Europe for the first time, what do you think will happen?
