Telford are down, Dartford will surely join them within the next 7 days then its a 3 team playoff for the final spot between Nuneaton, Welling and Alfreton. Everyone else is safe with the points they have and I would say 1 win out of 4 should be enough for Alfreton too!

Quite happy with that, Barnet weren't dropping points today anyway, and nor will they on Monday. Grimsby's winning run ends so not a bad day.

Just gotta keep up with Barnet, those last three games will be a test.

Really disappointed. We were abysmal in the first half and simply can't defend set pieces, but we were good enough in the second half to deserve the 3 points. Feels like a loss but it's not "too" bad given that Dover got the result at Eastleigh. Crucial game on Monday now.

Bloody hell. Awful game of football that.

Martin and his love of fucking hoofing the ball up to Akinde will be the death of me, I'm sure of it. It's such an awful tactic and so, so easy to defend against (as Nuneaton showed today). It just about works when you stick the second big lump Gash up there, but even so it's just terrible. Stop it, please.

Nuneaton weren't good, even average. All they done was hoof our hoofs back, then time waste when they had the ball. Funniest thing was their goalkeeper hopping at full speed to reach a ball before Luisma got there, was like something out of a comedy sketch!

Thought Stephens was poor today along with Weston. Yiadom, Gambin and Gash stood out, with Akinde taking his goal well. I'd still say he had an off day though.

On to Dartford now, which will be difficult. 4 huge matches to come now.

We won and Andy Bishop struck twice. Alfreton should be relegated on principle for allowing that to happen.

Oh well didn't expect to win the remaini g 5 anyway. Missed the second half commentary but at least we didnt lose it. Still all to play for, we need to win the last 4 though can't afford to drop anymore points though if we are to finish ahead of Barnet.

At least we maintain our unbeaten run and if we end up in the play offs as we have expected for a while we go into them in form.

I can't be arsed to check the stats as I'n still a bit too pissed off, but Gatesheads 2 goals must have been their only shots on target, McKeown had nothing to do all game.
2nd half we were fantastic and at 1 - 1 we had so many chances we should have had the game wrapped up, then caught with the sucker punch, which from where I was sat looked like McKeown should have saved.
The late equaliser was great for the fact that it shut their noisy fucking fans up!! :shut:

We weren't great today. Eastleigh losing to Dover glosses it over a bit but it's somewhat a missed opportunity, although Eastleigh will say the same. Can't play well and win every week so we'll quickly move on to Dover on Monday.

Attendance: 2819 (thanks for the 60 Welling).

And him being the leagues best keeper. Surprised you heard our 74 over your massive, loud, passionate, "best fans in the league" crowd. You don't half make me larf at times.

Sounded like he should have done better, but I would still have him over every other keeper in the division. Mistake against Gateshead again, but at least that won't be an issue in the playoffs this season. Did someone actually say that "best fans in the league" thing?

Id concur with that Alfreton v Welling on the 18th is huge.

Cant understand todays no show for us. But we lads have given everything in recent weeks so a lapse was inevitable I suppose.
Need to brush ourselves down and go again on Monday.

Huge run of three straight home games for Welling now. Eastleigh, Kiddy and Wrexham.

Your 74 were some of the noisiest we have had here this season, they didn't take our equaliser very well though, bless em..... :box::fing::shut: :fl:

Gateshead don't even know what fans are to be fair
yeah we do, they are the people who support their team and don't spend ages on messageboards slagging off their manager and top scorer

Fair play to Wrexham's 24,768 attendance today.

Amazing what getting rid of a manager does to the attendance.

A couple of great results in the UCL, with Wisbech losing at Desborough 5-1! Also Holbeach lost at Sileby 3-1.

The first result means Diamonds stay 7 points clear of 2nd placed Wisbech, with the same number of games now played. 5 left each. Holbeach's loss puts them also with 5 left, and crucially 15 points behind, they also drop to 3rd, but we are already guaranteed to finish ahead of Yaxley who have played one more.

Mondays games of import:
AFCR&D vs Long Buckby - no matter what happens in other games a point or more, and AFCR&D are guaranteed to finish at least 3rd and win promotion as the only candidate in the top 3 to have applied

Wisbech vs Holbeach - Should Diamonds fall to a home defeat, promotion can still be finalised unless Holbeach win. That said, no matter the outcome of our game, I will be wanting Holbeach to take some points off the title rivals, conceivably dropping them down to 3rd and making Thurnby our biggest threat.

Thats's one heck of a strike. Will the other three goals be available to see?. (NB: That GTFC1979 fella got a bit of a sweet tooth above, is he alright?)

Our highlights will be on mariners player later so if you have a subscription they will be available. I refuse to pay when other clubs do them for free.

Noisy because you were in the Main Stand? Didn't hear a peep from the Findus. Seeing them bounce around in injury time only for us to grab the equaliser was a good end to a crap afternoon.
