It nearly ripped McKeowns net out, super goal. Not sure if you were listening, but apparently your first is class as well.

Not lucky at all. We absolutely dominated in the second half, must have had 70% possession- most of our shots go into their goalie's hands and they score with their only 2 meaningful efforts. Life's a bitch.Thank feck for that. Typical luck with that Grimsby goal though

Disley scored the equaliser and is much rated by most of our fans. He did have a lacklustre start to the season by his own standards though. Mackreth on the other hand does polarise supporters somewhat. He scored a wonderful goal today and supplied the cross for the other. He works hard defensively and is positive in attack but he's a bit predictable and does love to run down blind alleys. Decent player for this level though.Bad post, I meant typical Barnet luck, not Grimsby. Just when it looks like we get a decent bit of fortune, bang, 95th minute equaliser!
Brilliant effort though, he's a good player that one. Very surprised that some of your fans don't seem to rate him much, would love him at Barnet.
I'd say Grimsby only drawing a game they dominated is great luck. Didn't bother with the other games until I left the ground, so hearing it was 2-2 was another win today.Bad post, I meant typical Barnet luck
We were all saying at half time that Mackreth looked to be running out of ideas as their left back was stopping him every time.Disley scored the equaliser and is much rated by most of our fans. I am. I think it will take a shorter time for me to get there from my house than it does for me to get to the Hive. Cycle to Stratford, DLR to Woolwich and then the train to Dartford. Nice ground as well. I'm hoping we'll take 700-1000.Any bees going on Monday?
First barnet away for me this season. Expecting a good following.
That Pontoonlew chap, page 17 of the away fans thread.
http://www.myfootygrounds.co.uk/LeagueMap.asp?League=CONF This website has a pretty exhaustive list of statistics. Grimsby have the joint 4th furthest to travel.Think there was a table on TFF at the beginning of the season with the miles each Club had to travel this season.
That's got Salisbury and Hereford in!
Hardly AWOL, seeing as the FGR lot are me and Chris, guess we have better things to do on a Saturday without the distraction of football.
I don't think you can blame us for the performance of our players, or a linesman not giving offside when the goal was scored...to be fair I was in the main stand near the away dug out so hardly a position to see whether it was offside or not. Most of us are hacked off by the way the team plays, particularly of late, but what do you expect from a manager who learned his trade as an assistant to Pulis when he was at Stoke. You are right about missing Sinclair, he is the one player who holds together the midfield, great controller of the ball and possibly the most influential player we have had in several seasons. Since he has been injured we have resorted to lobbing the ball over the top, which is largely dreadful to watch and mostly ineffective. Season over, not quite, we are now relying on others to slip up or not take full advantage of games in hand...that said, I now expect Woking and Eastleigh to finish above us.
Complete guess and not backed up by anything but... Gary Mills to FGR in the summer? assuming you don't go up
Interesting theory. Our Chairman isn't one for knee-jerk reactions and I fully expect Ady Pennock to be here next season, even if we don't go up. Not many of us expect this to happen anyway, the football in recent weeks has been ineffective, fine if backed up by results but in this case it hasn't. I think a managerial change is most likely in the autumn, if things aren't going our way, as even Dale Vince will probably understand that sometimes it is better to cut your losses. We would then be faced with the same situation as when Hockaday left, the new manager doesn't find too many players in the squad who can play with his tactics and sets about wholesale changes. If we don't go up this season, looking more unlikely by the week, then I don't expect us to challenge again until at least the 16/17 season.
3 game bans for Fairhurst and Halls. What's Adam Smith been given?
Surprisingly though yesterday Mills boys were playing a totally different way to how I expected, just lumping it forward to Rankine all the time trying to win flick ons, not their usual keep ball style, so maybe he is not the answer?Yeah for Mills to work it would have to be a summer appointment IMO, too drastic a change in style and personnel required for mid season.
Although as you say Vince may stick with Pennock, as a sustained play off challenge can be seen as progress in fairness.

Un-f*cking-believable that Halls got the same punishment. Smith should be facing assault charges, let alone a standard 3 game ban for violent conduct.3 games for Smith.
Most of our fans think it will be the last we see of him in a Town shirt. He was on the maybe pile for next season and Aspin isn't going to have been happy.
Well, seems that the FGR lot have gone AWOL. Not surprising after their bunch of thugs was embarrassed on national TV. After the most ludicrous offside goal I've seen for a long time FGR offered nothing in what should have been a routine win for them given our form.
After going 3-1 down all they wanted to do was kick us off the pitch, prime culprits were Clough, Bennett, Racine and of course Fat c*** Parkin. How the ref kept his cards in his pocket I don't know, he must of forgot his pencil. Bennett was the worst, sly kicks off the ball when it was long gone. I though FGR were better than that. Talking to some of the their fans walking out they were embarrassed by it too, but reckon since Sinclair has got injured they've been dogshite. Season over for them?
