Fair play to Walsall. They were the better team and deserved the win. Walsall impressed me to be honest. Looked organised and had two good strikers that didn’t let us play. The weather knocked a good few off the attendance and made it a poor atmosphere.

Acoustics are rubbish - Vale Park never creates a good atmosphere. Each stand is too far away from each other and on too much of a slant. You can only hear the people singing around you. I couldn’t hear the Crewe fans from the opposite corner of the Railway.

Also, fair play to Vale and Crewe fans. Over 10,000 there on a Monday night. Seen Crewe bring a lot less on a Saturday and seen some shocking Vale midweek attendances. Maybe could have got 11/12,000 on a Saturday.

We had 10 men for 50 mins against a side in the top 7. We were always going to get dominated. We’re Port Vale not Man City.

I’d have been a lot more nervous if we were holding on against Stoke.

A point is a decent result, especially after having 10 men for over 50 minutes. I’d be more disappointed if I was a Crewe fan. Thought they were wasteful at times. I’ve seen us lose that type of game multiple times. So it’s nice to see a Vale team show a bit of heart and desire...

I think the best Vale squad in 20 years is slightly pushing it. Had some decent League One teams in that time and achieved nothing with this squad yet. The strength in depth for this level is brilliant though. We are making 5 changes in some games and still winning games fairly comfortably...

Good win from us, but not sure they’re a very good league two team. They will get out battled by a lot of teams if they play like that. We out ran them, over powered them and had more quality. They probably would have scored if they actually put the ball in our box.

Good point away at Wycombe. However, I think we were the better team, had the better chances and can probably find ourselves unlucky to not win it.
