The stat of doom is that we've never won away under McNamara - not since last September with Russ Wilcox's band of merry men when we beat Newport 3-0.

I think if we get pasted again tomorrow, there's an outside chance of a silver medal for us in this. Realistically he probably gets at least 10 games, and we'd probably have to be in danger of relegation for it to actually happen.

That was pretty feisty for a friendly, alright. Out of interest, which three would you have for Maidstone? Higgins, Nti and Thompson maybe? Nobody really made much of a case for a starting slot except maybe Thompson. Brodie made a pretty good case for him to be shipped out on loan to the Evo-Stik.

What's happened to Wes is a tragedy, but as mentioned he seems to have never properly recovered from a particularly bad injury at Portsmouth. Josh Carson got injured in the same game and he's never really been the same either. Pompey have a lot to answer for.
