I've put my name down for the coach expecting to witness the awesome machine finally start firing on all cylinders. So lose to an own goal late on it is.

I'd have fancied our chances tomorrow night had even one of Rhead and Wood been available. Both missing will make it a big ask as we'll have no out ball, and someone who's important to the way we play and only one central midfielder available (unless he risks Alan Power who hasn't trained properly since the final pre-season game).

Lengthy away trip down to Deepest Northamptonshire to play Brackley tomorrow night for us. Brackley look a useful outfit and much better than last season. Saturdays disappointment has put a bit of pressure on this one. We need to make a much better start then we did v Stockport as I think our away form will be pivotal again. Tom Allan returns from a one match suspension, which is just as well as Todd jordan had a shocker on Saturday and I hope Adam Priestley is finally fit to play in place of the injured Paul Clayton.

A Tuesday night trip up to the Heed. I think our luck will run out here and we'll get beat. We have a decent side but it's currently being shoe-horned into a formation that doesn't work.

Mate everyone loves nandos

Exactly. Luckily there's one in Woking not far from the station, which I will be visiting tomorrow night. Never buy food inside grounds, apart from at Kiddy. It's usually shite.

If Woking are really as shit as the ever positive Sparrow seems to think, maybe we'll scrape a draw. Noble will make a difference I reckon.

We're very close to being awesome. But not awesome enough to win at our bogey ground yet.

Eastleigh away. Would definitely be happy with a point. I'd like to see Miller and Lafayette together in a 4-4-2 with Modeste and Moses on the wings, but we all know we're going to see a 5-2-3 as usual. I feel Lafayette did enough to deserve a place in the side against his old club but can't see Miller being dropped.

Was the Boreham Wood defeat a one off or are you not the side you were last year?

Thought that a 2-1 away win at 10/1 looked worth a punt, but then noticed that B Wood result.

Bring back Stanley maybe or Hawkridge in there as he did a decent job in there at the end of last season?
We look quite a small team bar the defenders, tough game or a two coming til the Cowleys can get rid of the players they don't want.

Predictions on our messageboard showing the confidence we have after a good start to the seaso but, as mentioned previously, Southport are our bogey team since coming down. Kingsley James was excellent on Saturday in his first start and the performance was an improvement on the previous two games; hopefully the goals will give our forwards confidence that will be reflected in more composure in the final 3rd. So far the two goals we've conceded have been a comedy fluke own goal and a penalty so we look decent, if a little shaky when people getting running at us from midfield, at the back. I'd be delighted if we can get 4 points before we host Lincoln, who I expect will be a much tougher test.

We dominated the first half then Miller got sent off and we just sat back and let them have the ball. Completely fell apart. Hard to say where we are really, looked good against Wrexham and for 45 minutes against BW. We were excellent Saturday but North Ferriby are so bad that it doesn't mean an awful lot - could've easily been 6 or 7 if their keeper wasn't so good.

We're a midfielder and a centre half short of a great side - not sure any team in this league has a better front 3 than Miller, Modeste and Moses.

Braintree at home. Depends which Stones show up I suppose, the ones from Chester or the ones from Aldershot. Preferably the ones from Chester.

He's served his suspension. I'd be surprised if he didn't start but Lafayette played well and Kinnear doesn't usually like to change a winning side.

Go and hang out at Elstree Studios and see if any of the Eastenders cast are about. I had lunch sitting next to Dot Cotton once when I worked that way.

Anyway, our game, will be a better barometer to how good (or not) we are after a pretty easy start for us.

Games come thick and fast down here, don't they?
I nearly wondered into Elstree studios trying to find the ground a couple of years ago :-D

Feeling strangely bullish about our chances against Braintree, if we play like we did against Chester or for the first hour against York I reckon all 3 points are there for the taking. 2-0 Maidstone, pick up a first clean sheet of the season.

12 out of 12 really would be brilliant. Looks like Boreham Wood have made a really good start to the season so probably our toughest match yet. Dont like to say id take a draw, but it wouldnt be the worst result in the world with Maidstone at home on Saturday.

I reckon a 1-0 win, Cook with the goal, 300 Tranmere fans.

Looking forward to the game tomorrow. I just hope we put up a good showing. I expect Lincoln to have more of the ball and to close us quickly when we are in possession. Hopefully we can get the ball into Hawkins early and get Guttridge feeding the pacy wide men. Would like Maguire Drew back in for this one. I like Assombalonga but I think Maguire Drew offers more balance on the wing out of the game each I've seen them have.

Would take a draw I think.

I prefer Assombalonga to Mcguire Drew he is far to lightweight for this division, bottles too many challenges for my liking and was a liability up at Chester. Keep to the same team please. If Rhead is out for Lincoln that is a big blow for them. Can see this being a score draw.

Maguire Drew was excellent against Southport. I agree that on the road he may need time to get used to the physicality of this division. But in home matches where we are expected to be on the front foot, I think Maguire Drew has the quality that can win us games. Assombalonga is quick and powerful but I thought he was often in no mans land at Guiseley (bar his goal obviously). He'd be more at home down the centre but it seems Hawkins is the option there this season.

Still not head officially about Rhead but can't see him being involved for a few weeks, he will be a huge loss. Do well to get a point for us I reckon.

In the same boat as Sutton, 1 win, draw and loss. Would take a point away but feel like we need to make up for the points we dropped against Barrow.

We cant afford to carry people and also cant keep changing the team to suit players needs for home and away games. As good as he was against a poor Southport team he would look like a little boy against Lincoln, he has great ability but not what we require in these tough games.

A load of battery chickens kept in the dark and force fed for 8 weeks before being sold to South Africans masquerading as Portugese?

Not for me cheers.

They're only chickens ffs you tree hugger. My great nan used to out in the back yard and ring one of her chickens necks everytime she cooked chicken. Not 2 fucks were given. People are way too soft these days. We are top of the food chain. Deal with it.

Reckon i'll go Nandos tonight as well as tomorrow now. PERI PERI RULES.
