Funnily enough it could have been Plymouth. My grandad was born there and was a lifelong supporter, and passed this to my dad. My dad has never actually lived there, but met my mum in Wiltshire and happened to move to Exeter before I was born. I got into football a little later (high school age)...
I have absolutely no idea who might get it. I can see it being Nicholson, particularly if he does well in the next few tough games. Equally I can see it being an external, although I have a feeling it won't be anyone with L1/2 experience. Probably will be some random that no one in Exeter has...
I think it's the coaching staff that's holding things up. Clubs obviously agreed compensation for Taylor before he was spoken to, but now he's agreed and wants to take people with him they're quibbling about that. Particularly Scott Brown, whose status as our backup keeper complicates things.
We have no idea. We are really in the position of appointing a manager so not sure what the tactic would be. Last time there was an obvious internal replacement, which there isn't now. Personally I couldn't care less if they are ex-Argyle, as long as they do the job.
We're pretty much the same on the budget front, so I guess Taylor has form on that front and it's a good fit. If you're stuck at a club with a low budget for its league that's unlikely to go higher, you might as well do it up a division on a higher wage.
Obviously wish him and you well if he...
I took it as saying that if it was purely a footballing decision he'd go straight away, but he needed to fully discuss it with his family.
That said, given we haven't heard either way implies to me he's going and they're waiting for contracts to be signed before announcing it.
Well, got to be happy with that. I hope we keep the intensity up, and really want Stansfield to get his first goal. No more injuries would be a nice bonus as well.
