We’ve called wigan off already. Playing tuesday. so the league game with exeter is now off

I was keeping an interest in it as I needed Everton -1, so got pretty lucky in the end. They were absolutely hopeless when we won there 3-0 on boxing day, alright upfront both hopeless defensively.

It’ll be a shame if the Mansfield and Wigan game is off given it’s been move for “tv abroad” i should imagine the international audience will be distraught if it doesn’t make it. :lol:

I’m increasingly confident mansfield and wigan won’t make it in the cup -7 tonight, -5 tomorrow and getting upto 1 during the days. Also dropping back down to freezing around the time it kicks off.

Certainly someone who works with pace beside him, technically he’s a great player. Keep him fit and he’s up there with the best in league 2.

The questionable attitude statement comes from his lack of effort when he played against bradford in that daft cup thing and another game just after, he was heavily criticised at the time for well not doing anything. Irrespective, (as said previously) wish him all the best but just didn’t work...

Yeah, we did have that and it was annoying as often affected his consistency but overall his play more than compensated for that. Glad he’s doing better, he’s a good lad.

His goal against FGR was in fairness an important one, but it shouldn’t mask 3 goals and 3 assists in 19 games in a Mansfield side that created and scored goals for fun last season - it tells its own tale for me. If i were in a relegation battle he’s exactly not the type i’d want, poor work...

I agree with Gregory. Give him and Evans 45 together, ultimately really we don’t have anything else, rhys oates is just pointless from an injury perspective and Ben Waine is well, just pointless sadly. Though if we got through another round we’d have the prize money and potential ticket money...

I’d play our full side and go for it personally. We get through it’s another £125k or so plus whatever comes from the next round, i’d be really gutted if he didn’t go for it, though of course i see your logic.

Re carlisle fans - remember chatting to a number of barrow fans end of last season saying they trained preston way given the location (appreciate it’s more of a pain in the arse geographically if driving there), do you find your location is prohibitive to signing players or is not really an issue?

It’s all relative, i think most league 2 clubs have the potentially to set themselves up to be established in league 1 - it’s what happens then. When there’s only 3 spaces up and 4 down, but with some massive clubs chucked in (well compared to us) it’s certainly hard to see how to get a look...
