I think we've done relatively well so far at least based on our performances which isn't reflected in the points we have gained to date. The emergence of Pelly Ruddock this season has been a real positive while the negatives have been our inability to score despite the number of chances we produce each game. Probably a combination of Hytlons absence and that league one defences are more organised. Still think however that our shooting has been woeful.
Glancing at the table the top is mostly as predicted with the exception of Accrington and Walsall. Perhaps its no surprise to see Accrington there in view of what they achieved last season however Walsall were a lot of people tip to struggle so credit where its due.
Of the teams we've played this season Peterborough and Charlton stand out for me. A lot of quality in their side and technically very skilfull. Bristol Rovers and Oxford are by far and away the worst teams.
Still early days but I stand by my prediction of Luton finishing in or around the play offs. We look quite decent at times and seem to be improving. We still have key players out and hopefully it won't be long before they make a return. 7/10 from me.

It might be because we've been quite bad but I have actually been impressed with quite a few sides I've seen this season.

Barnsley and Walsall both looked quality, not sure how we managed to get a point out of those two each.

Sunderland and Fleetwood tore us to shreds and looked a class above us.

Charlton looked very strong in defeat the other night, their strikers are pretty lethal and will trouble a lot of sides.

Shrewsbury are the only side I have seen us play and thought that we are actually better than them, everyone else seemed quite a bit above us.

Seems a bit disingenuous when you've got 17 points from 11 games and sit 9th -- only two points off the play-offs and a full eight clear of 4th bottom.

We're in an incredibly false position.

If you had actually watched any of our games rather than just judging by the table you would be more informed.

17 points from 11 games mate. Table doesn't lie from that sort of spread. False maybe by a few positions but not half a league.

Interesting that no-one is really rating Pompey.

I thought you weren't as good as Sunderland, Barnsley or Walsall from the games I've seen. I didn't see us play Peterborough but by all accounts they were better than Pompey as well. Of the others, Accrington, Burton and Wimbledon were dreadful, Coventry were neat and tidy without being over-threatening and I've not seen the others.

We're ranging from decent to rubbish at the moment. Our 3 wins have all been by 2 goals, and were all comfortable more than blowing the opposition away. Even in the Pompey game, how many saves did Holy have to make? The defence was exceptional and the majority of Pompey's efforts were miles off target as we forced them to shoot from range.

Our usual downturn has begun. Start like a house on fire, banging in goals all over the place before coming to the slow realisation that our defence is dogshit.

We'll now go through our transition period of the manager making random changes in tactics and team selections and dropping down to 8th/9th by the end of November. An awful December will see us slipping down to 11th before a big win in the 3rd round of the FA Cup re-ignites our season and see's us flirting with the play off's by the end of March.

With 6 points left we will be 4 points outside of the play offs with a scrappy win against Gillingham pushing us to within 2 points of 6th place. Then, a run of just one point from a possible 9 against Blackpool, Fleetwood and Sunderland will see us back in 10th place and another season in League One. A win against Walsall followed by defeat in our final game against Burton see's Posh finish in their usual position of 11th.

You heard it here first.

I think we're about where we should be, we'll be floating around the drop spots all season no doubt - at the end of the day I think it'll be pretty marginal whether we go down or stay up.

We're just lucky in that there seem to be another 5-6 sides who probably aren't quite good enough for this league either. It's obviously early days but I reckon the relegation dogfight will go right down to the wire this season. Get your brown trousers in now.

Big couple of games coming up now - Plymouth away in midweek and then Bradford at home next weekend. Win both and we should start to build a touch of momentum towards our standard second half of the season revival - lose both and we're in bother.

We’re in massive trouble.

Conceded the most goals in the league. We’ve conceded 17 second half goals, that’s more than 10 teams have conceded overall.

Our injuries are piling up, we have one fit striker and one half fit striker available.

Relegation looms.

We'll end 20 points behind you, so you'll be fine.

Actually we'll be lucky to get more than 20 so maybe not.

Well the downturn in form continues and the random changes have begun. Our two striker, one of whom is the league top goalscorer, have been dropped. Our central midfielder, who has 4 this season has been dropped, and our right winger is now playing right back.

This is going according to plan at the moment.

6 weeks to drop 6 places. Easy.

Corh we've had some right good luck with injuries in the past 2 games.

Harry Lennon broken leg last Tuesday
Tom Hopper ruptured ACL last Tuesday
Ben Coker went off on stretcher Saturday assuming that could be another ACL injury.

That's three players in 4 days who are out long term add that to Rob Kiernan who has played 1 sodding game for since he joined last summer and Sam Barratt who ruptured his ACL first game of the season.

Nothing more depressing than an injury crisis, as Bradford will tell you. In that respect, we've been fortunate this season without a doubt.

What the hell is going on, are we cursed? Since the start of last season when Kiernan played one game then got an injury that has never been properly explained in training the week after, every injury we've had has been major. Nobody's getting 'groin strains' or 'pulled hamstrings' it's all torn ligaments and broken bones.
Even Yearwood's 'hamstring problem' turned into 4 months out. The loss of Hopper is huge, taken us from an outside playoff chance to basically finishing somewhere from 10th-18th.
The rate we are going we're going to need a whole team in the January transfer window.
