Shit is going to hit the fan if we don’t win on Saturday, a lot of fans are nearly out of patience with GC - too early for me.

Old news now but was delighted when found out Rose had been sold and wouldn't be playing against us last weekend. Always caused us problems when he wasn't falling over and very good in the air for a smallish fella. Squad looks weaker with him gone.

He wouldn’t have played anyway, didn’t appear for us once this season.

Unless he was injured that's very odd. Would certainly select Rose in front of the fellas you had up top against us.

Harrogate Town at home on SKY - perfect opportunity to embarrass ourselves infront of the nation.

Im reasonably happy with the way we have started the season - a little bit of good fortune and we would’ve been top off the league last week. Of course, we didn’t play last weekend, because that Grimsby teenie-bopper had a high temperature, obviously. Anyway, last time out we beat Stevenage - Novak and Billy Clarke running the show.

I know nothing about Harrogate and their squad - other than Jon Stead is very well thought of round these parts. They appear to have started very well; giving teams a very good run for anyone’s money. We’re still without the O’Connor’s - our 2 strongest CB’s.

GK: Richard O’Donnell

RB: Tyler French
CB: Reece Staunton
CB: Ben Richards-Everton
LB: Connor Wood

CM: Gareth Evans
CM: Elliot Watt
CM: Callum Cooke

CAM: Billy Clarke

ST: Lee Novak
ST: Clayton Donaldson/Kurtis Guthrie

Maybe Reid and definitely Bowery, but Rose is never going to score more than Maynard or Cook.

We don't have a hope in hell of beating Orient on Saturday with our two best defenders out injured.

Anything less than a win and there will be serious calls to sack the manager from the usual morons.

Away to the Barrowers who are yet to find any consistency, we can't keep clean sheets for love nor money - Tuesdays nights one was only our 9th under Ross Embleton in around 50 games we've had under him in all competitions. In the league we've only kept 7 clean sheets under him :sur:

We've more or less always had to score 2+ per game to stand any chance of getting anything, I have no doubt we will still create chances as we usually do, but my god we cannot defend for shit. Lawrence Vigouroux in goal can usually only do so much.
even when you got promoted out of the National League we managed to score 2 goals in each game - so hopefully that 2+ goals conceded bit continues...

All bets are off for the CTFC Derby this weekend. Two words explain why.

Is he still around? Hoped he would have boiled dry by now. I think you should have him every game except when you play us.

We've got two new players, one is 'a goal scorer'. Hope we play him tomorrow, plus Hanson is now fit; so that could be two 'goal scorers' in our team. Look out Notlob, we need some points.

Bloody hell James Hanson....some of your trawlers turn quicker
We will give you chances Our keeper thinks he is Man Citys goalie.....Hes not
Our back 3 should cope with your forward line, but we will play about at the back until we present your forwards a chance.
I think our midfield/forwards will just have to much for you........5-2 Doyle 3 Crawford Sarcevic

I’d absolutely take 0-0 right now. I can’t see us scoring without the players we have missing in attack, I know we scored 3 at Sunderland in the shit trophy but they were so open and I don’t see Port vale being that. They’ll be attacking but won’t leave their arse holes wide open to be shafted.

Can we keep Vale out to get the 0-0? Morecambe did, but so far on the road we’ve not looked anything close to solid.

I reckon we’ll lose 2-0. Not a total disaster, just can’t be helped with our injury ravaged squad.

There are no excuses for losing to Port Vale. None. Just stating facts that unless there are some miracle over night cures we won’t have any sort of attack.

Your manager has been raving about us which is always a worry!

Exactly the game we tend to balls up in this where a side is injury hit or out of form.

Happier now Clarke has signed and expect us to go attacking full backs with Monty coming in, we were poor last two but changed the formation for Wigan and created enough to win 7 or 8, not sure if that was down to Wigan being shit or not but could we see Askey drop the reliable 4-3-3!

Morecambe nullified us by stopping Joyce, he makes us tick and controls the midfield so stop him you have a chance.

We’ve only conceded 1 in the last 3 league games, so we’ve definitely improved defensively, but I still think part of being good at the back you have to have some sort of threat in the final third to pen teams in at times. That’s what we did last week, but I just can’t see it this time. I expect with us having next to no attack and all the pace in the team out injured, you’ll press us high, we’ll end up on the back foot for most of the game and despite a decent effort we’ll come unstuck.

I’m pleased Joyce is doing well. He didn’t really make us tick as he wasn’t that type of player for us but he did a decent job and always put in a shift. If Dean Furman was fit that would be a really good battle tomorrow. A few of our available midfielders are decent in terms of ability but a bit youthful and lack know how. I think they’ll get schooled in terms of League 2 football by someone as experienced as Joyce. Hope I’m wrong though.

Joyce has grown to be crucial to us with his range of passing and vision, his movement is outstanding to always be in space. We’ve lost once at home in 18 months... the only game he has missed in that run.

When Hanson is fit (rarely) he is still a handful for defenders, even at this high level, trawlers haven't been a feature in Grimsby for a number of years.

4-4-2 and six changes from Morecambe.

Pope and Theo up front which took Wigan apart and Crookes and Clark into the back 4. Surprised at the amount made to be honest’
