Undoubtedly will come out of hospital once the transfer window is closed, leaving us with the appallingly negative Aspin at the helm with the current crock of shite.

Yeah, can see from some of the comments on onevalefan that some people don't seem to really understand this, and expect Aspin to walk as well, for his own dignity or for the sake of the club.

Aspin has a contract with Port Vale and you can't really blame him for not wishing to voluntarily terminate it. Why should he? Smurthwaite was the one who decided Aspin could be successful with Vale, if things haven't worked out for Aspin, if he's not up to the task, then it's not his fault, he didn't make Smurthwaite hire him and he's certainly under no obligation to forfeit the rest of the money he was promised by Smurthwaite. The ball is in Smurthwaite's court.

People talk and give press coverage to say Bolton, Blackpool and Coventry for instance but currently we are in far worse danger than any of them. Genuinely don’t believe Port Vale FC will exist 24 months from now and have even been debating what do I do when it’s gone?

It’s clear the chairman doesn’t care about the club, 400k promised in January so far a couple of kids on loan and a US college kid whilst sending most loanees back and rumours of Whitfield going and Legge not playing to avoid triggering an extension to his deal!

Lots of rumours going around the fan base genuine fear that the club will soon be gone. Protests due to start but the likelihood is that it will just upset the chairman further and all funding will cease.
