Don’t think either side looked great, as if each nullified the other. For the first time ever Jephcott tried some shots from outside the box. An own goal won it. The 2021 unbeaten run continues.

Charlton fans going in to absolute meltdown because we had the audacity to score more goals than them. Kent is now on a red alert for a tsunami from all the tears.

Their message board is hilarious.
The usual worst team weve ever played, pub team etc.
Yet we still beat them

Well today was absolutely shite, I think Wyke moved about 2 yards to score all 4 goals with his head, given that’s how he scores his goals I’m perplexed neither the management team or playing squad could stop it. We compound it by missing 2 penalties allowing wingers who can’t take a corner to take them, (Lincoln fans I feel your pain), the hardest thing to take is that there was bugger all between the sides except for 40 mins we didn’t believe we should be on the same pitch. The first win against Sunderland still alludes us.

Is there anyone more despicable in the professional game than Steve Evans?

Trying to get the game off and then you realise why when you see Graham is out.

Why? did he, say, swing a punch at a team mate in his playing days?:)

Not the worst team we’ve played but you’re not great are you to be fair?

Ultimately, the game followed the same script of the last few months for us. Far too wasteful at one end and just diabolical at the other.

That’s why we’re firmly midtable.

By the sounds of it, we're only trying to play again tomorrow because as it stands we have 3 midweeks left free.

One of those will be taken up if we beat Sunderland on Wednesday and therefore have to rearrange a league game because of the Pizza Cup final and away at Oxford potentially off because of international call-ups and we don't want to run the risk of being left with Thursday as our only option.

We are limited by our resources and we have to play the system that suits those resources. We ain't great and we are certainly not consistent.

Two of our more decent players that have played at a higher level - Samuel and Graham - were out injured, but two that are also capable of playing at a higher level - Ogilvie and Dempsey - scored goals worthy of winning any game today. Our keeper Bonham also played well today. The rest are honest but fairly limited professionals.

I thought that all our three goals were of an unusual high quality today, which they did not need to be as the defending from both sides was shambolic, to say the least.

I agree that the two teams will be close to midtable at the end of the season.

Good set of results for us, just need to do the business tomorrow, if it's on.

All great finishes but all easily avoided.

For the first Deji heads it straight to your bloke to lay it off to Lee. Just brainless.

The second was a stunner and I’m probably being a bit harsh with this one but the ball should have been cleared well before he even had a chance to do it.

The third was the worst for me, Millar just stood and watched Dempsey go past him whilst Purrington backed up so much he nearly ended up in row Z of the Jimmy Seed. If one of them go to the ball, that goal doesn’t happen.

As said though, we can’t defend for shit and it’s embarrassingly bad at times.

I thought it was a good open game, not much between the 2 sides and Fleetwood can take positives against a side who are clearly going in the right direction. If the hosts had taken their chances, particularly in the second half it would have been a decisive score line, I thought they defended very well, 2 successive 1-0 wins, you cant grumble with that so well done

It certainly got more open and exciting in the last twenty minutes. While I am a bit concerned about the shooting boots of a few of our players, that we had another clean sheet is very pleasing given how leaky our defence was up to Xmas. Our Liverpool loanee Lewis who came on a left wing back for the last twenty minutes is pretty quick - he got to one pass from Mayor that I though he had no chance of getting, letting alone crossing it from the byline. I hope we can work on a game plan to make more use of his speed. Onwards to Rochdale, another appalling performance to put right.

No Bridcutt for us, as expected, and we've changed three of our back four, which wasn't expected!

Very tough game this evening. We never got going first half. Stanley pressed our back line from the off and with 2 new full backs, it really did unsettle us and we kept pumping it long.

2nd half we looked better, still not 100% but certainly more threatening. 2 good goals.

Certainly say a draw is a fair result - Stanley are a great team!

3 more points. The conditions for both teams weren't easy. Wigan played to their game plan well and for a fair while looked like succeeding. We eventually got going after their goal and the rain may have helped by quickening the pitch up as well. Good efforts in the box from good crosses got us the goals in the end which was a real positive.

The game could have been abandoned at half time with a fire causing one side of floodlights to go out and the stadium be evacuated, including the Vaccination Centre. Fortunately, the Fire Service got there promptly, did a good job and all parties (both clubs, Match Officals* etc) deserve credit for ensuring the game was completed.

*I never thought I'd end up praising Brett Huxtable but he was good today. I think he had a good game earlier in the season as well.

Oxford playing a weakened team today. Gather Long and Henry injured, but surprised if you're resting players for the Pizza Cup?

I doubt it’s for the pizza cup. We’ve generally put out weakened sides.

Long and Henry injured, yes and a few struggling. Matty Taylor has played virtually every game this season so whilst unexpected, probably justified. I am surprised Sykes and Winnall started but otherwise I’d expect to see Agyei, Hall etc who haven’t played many minutes to start at Tranmere.

I always thought the same. However, the past two games for us he has been 8 out of 10 good. He still runs in slow motion, but his game management is much much better.

On reflection, a point was a fair result for both teams last night, and they deserve credit for getting the game on. We're disappointed to concede in the last minute, but Accy deserved something. There's a lot being said about the team Appleton put out, but IMHO Accy came with a really good game plan - they've clearly learned from this being the third time we've met this season. Lincoln have come through a run of difficult games four points clear, and what we have proved good at this year is beating the weaker teams - so, we'll be looking for a couple more wins soon. Onto Sunderland for the pizza cup semi next though, hoping we've a plan for McGeady and Wyke.

Just man mark Wyke and give McGeady a good kick in the ankle in the first 5 minutes something we failed to do
