Really enjoyed the game last night. Two sides really going for it attacking each other end to end.
Thought FGR had more of the ball over the 95 mins, but we had the better scoring opportunities and their keeper pulled off at least 2 cracking saves that looked certain goals from where i was. Both defences looked organised & very tight.
The incident that saw Drury get whacked and they thought he was putting on, has resulted in a horrible deep gash to his leg (the pic was on twitter after the game, but seems to have been removed this morning) but i'm sure it will rule him out for at least 2-3 games.
You definitely brought the better saves from Russell, we seemed to offer tame efforts or stray ones though might have nicked it late with Carter's decent try.
I thought we were a bit sloppy in midfield. Not just hassled off it, more poor touches than usual so less control.
Constable clattering Noble early as he waited to receive the ball from Russell struck me as a silly way to get a card.

Think you'll be right up there, Sam Russell was my and a lot of others motm, which says a lot. The 2 saves were top drawer, you had less of the ball but did probably look more of a threat. Fair result in the end.

Thought the Jefford - Drury incident was pretty innocuous, if he was actually injured then fair enough.

Still no idea why we offered Ricketts reduced terms, went on to sign about 5 attacking midfielders and then didn't sign a replacement for him.
The lack of a replacement for Ricketts is very strange. The only thing I can assume is that Keiran Murtagh made it known that he was keen to play the defensive midfield role.

Brodie conned ref?when the ref finally got order after Tranmere players trying to get to Brodie whilst on ground,he got up and showed lines women the stud marks on his over large belly, this is 100% because you could clearly see the stud marks from where I was sat,How did he get this marks if he conned the ref.
The ref was awful and had no control on game, but for me Tranmere number 6 should of gone straight after the sending off,he through York other striker to ground when we attacked on other wing and 2 minutes after went through the back of him resulting in being stretchered off.
Tranmere have a very strong spine,2 strikers 2 centre backs and 1 centre midfield very good and will finish top 2,they are a good team but your left back was shocking, never seen a full back get beaten so many times in a game and not get taken off,but then again Brabin never sees anything.
There's a video of the red on Youtube, he clearly catches him on the leg. Brodie then shows his stomach for some reason...
Liam Ridehalgh, our left back, is not the best, I completely agree! One area we need to strengthen for sure.

What did you make of Stephenson, his first start for us, though has looked decent coming off the bench, probably our MoM last night. Held the ball up well, had a few chances. However Felix had more pace and on that showing looked a decent player.
I thought he looked good,he is quick, strong and inteligent and will do well this season.Felx is younger and one for future Stephenson is experienced and will have more of an impact this season, need a full back behind him though

Yip, thats Beano (Constable) , a needless foul & booking, although it was too far away for me to see clearly, but looked like he challenged and left something on the defender as he waited for the ball to come out of the area from a goal kick?
Funnily enough, the same situation happened in the 2nd half with Mandron attempting to tackle the LB as he was waiting for the ball to come out of the area from a goal kick. Tbf to Mandron, the ball did just cross the penalty area line, so it was up for grabs, but the ref was looking to punish us for everything all night. He was extremely poor, booking 5 of ours and none of yours, which showed a blatant bias. Seriously, Drury's gash is awful, yet your man didnt even get spoken to, never mind carded, nor was a foul given. The ref was too busy making a fuss about sending off your coach for arguing about it... It was laughable that he sent him to the stands, so he went and sat 1 row further back than he already was....

Yep and the referee spotted him there and ordered security to move from area.
Actually security was made to work last night. One naughty Eastleigh fan ran onto pitch to celebrate with the players when they scored and 4 FGR security guys roughly manhandled him away.

They didn't just manhandle him away, he was punched straight in the face by one of them (allegedly).
Tbh the same lad has gone onto the pitch before, and without being unkind, i think he's a special needs person, so that would have been an interesting situation when the police came to question him down at the station. Most stewards just dump people like that outside and make sure they don't get back into the ground, but he was taken to the police who took him away. A bit harsh, but is something that is part of the punishment these days. I'm just not sure the lad is savvy enough to know what he did was wrong, or what the consequences were. When he did it before in a cup game at Stourbridge last season (after the final whistle), he was just ushered back into the crowd by the stewards, where our own fans could then "police" him.

Eastleigh are easily the best team I have seen us face this season, well organised and at times seemed to have similar tactics to ours, which made for an entertaining game. As the game drifted into time added on I felt that one team may just nick a winner, there were definitely chances made but none taken. I didn't see the tackle on Drury, but did see what happened after he had been treated by the physio. He came over and had a go at the Rovers assistant manager before being told by the ref to move away. The fourth official then spoke with the ref, presumably about what had been said, and the assistant was sent to the stand, then I believe told to leave completely. I wouldn't criticise the ref too much, he was about as good as we get at this level, he did try to let the game flow as much as possible and we did see a good contest. It was an enjoyable game last night, certainly happy with a share of the points and considered that a fair result.

Shiny stand good view, pint and sky sports at half time and a visit to a proper stadium seems fair to me.
Just kidding it's a rip off. I'm paying £10 for the same seat with my season ticket. Our admission prices are they same as last year.

Plus wouldn't let us in the bar before the game because we weren't members. FFS, am 50 with a dodgy back, hardly the demographic for a trouble maker....even paid £3 for the programme.

This was as bad as Stockport!

Would not let you in the supporters club? I find this very hard to believe you have to pay 50p for the privilege but no one get refused entry.
