Before you mention Chester City, yes I speak from experience and we got punished eventually which is what you're all blind to. You can't see what is around the corner and think your owners are really nice guys who wouldn't dare walk out and leave you clinging to a broken solar panel while you share the last vegan pasty between all 5 of you.

I don't think you will find many Rovers fans who aren't worried what might happen to us if Dale Vince walked away, his vision is all based around sustainability, only a fool would describe us as that without his ongoing investment. As far as I am concerned it can take years for someone to earn your trust, but seconds to lose it, Dale Vince still has some way to go in my opinion. What Chris said is absolutely correct, that lots of people have put in hours of work to keep the club going, through some pretty dark times, but we won't differ from any non-league club in that respect.

Alfreton are back in the dropzone then, what a shame.

Well I expect a rousing response from Halifax, backed by their large vociferous and loyal following.

Bless. Someone has had a bad day.

The fact that B2TF has got so far under your skin is tragic.

Some would call it an inferiority complex :dk:

I can't speak for Eastleigh, but in our case it's taken decades of hard graft, mainly by dedicated volunteers, to get the club to this level and keep it here for more then a decade, until the club was taken over by Dale Vince in 2010, whilst building a new stadium in the process. All of this was achieved without a sugar daddy, which many fail to recognise.

The fact that we now have one shouldn't detract from the amazing achievement which was getting this club established at this level, without spending massive amounts. We are not a flash in the pan. We are a club with a long and proud history, with a lot of dedicated passionate individuals involved over the years, all of whom have worked tremendously hard to help grow the club.

Vince is providing the final push, he does not define our club.

Decades of hard graft and luck of several teams being demoted saving you from relegation.

Looking very promising all of a sudden for Welling after they were virtual certainties for relegation not so long ago after a terrible run.

It's effectively back in their hands because even if they lose at Alfreton, I can't see the latter getting anything at Bristol Rovers and Welling have another relatively easy game at home to Southport on the last day.

Literally hate this football club - it's an old boys' club, he's not going to sack his mate who is also on the board.

We'll go down next season.

We couldn't even fill the bench tonight and we've had 3 players go off injured. We'll do well to get another point this season. If Alfreton turn over Welling then I'll be very worried.

Bugger me, really hope Alfreton get the results they need on Saturday, I would hate to send someone down.

Especially if we were celebrating promotion

Now Torquay 1-0 Lincoln.

Surely he has to go at the end of the season?

Two relegation battles, two midtable finishes.

That's the longest any ex-league club has gone without even remotely looking like challenging for promotion from the Conference since the two-up, two-down system was introduced (not counting Stockport, as sadly they got relegated before they even had a chance). Considering that it was only failure to hold on just a bit longer for a win at Macclesfield that cost them their league status in the first place, I'm amazed they should find this division such a struggle.

Even if they beat Welling they still won't be safe because of GD.
