Thought about going today, after previous miserable trips to Gateshead I decided to stay home and watch the rugby. 0-0 draw I think

Your team is going for the title but you'd rather watch rugby?

100% are you sure?
I thought you had us down to draw a couple in recent weeks.

Regarding the overall picture of messing up our lead, losing to teams that aren't bad eg (Wrexham and Lincoln away), potentially missing out on the playoffs and playing terrible football, then I was correct.

I can think of lots of things that I would rather do than watch rugby. I am just glad that in a part of the country that has an almost complete obsession with the oval ball that there is some decent footy on offer.

Welling are a bit of a bogey team for us.

Diagne out and Nolan a doubt. It's been suggested that we'll be starting to play fringe players and a three of the young lads in as well at some point but we're probably another 4 or 5 games off that.

I did notice, and I'm not sure if this is true, that their top scorer(s), Vine and Bush, have 3. The two above them left when Day left.

So you are 100% right that you made a prediction.

I'd give you more credit for it if you had the good grace to wait and see if it ends up being true but at the moment the title and whether we make the playoffs is completely in our hands so nothing is decided. If we fail to reach the play-offs then I will congratulate you through gritted teeth.

Huge weekend, out of the top 4 we arguably have the 'easiest' game. Of course no game is easy, but Rovers Barnet and Macc have tough tough games. Sounds like there's a huge following going across for it, I wish I was one of them!
I hope you guys bring more than Bristol Rovers. We thought they'd bring close to a thousand, but they brought a miserable 479.

Gateshead have got an injury crisis by all accounts and I do half fancy us to pull off a 1-0 win.

Yeah 479 when we started the season slow is shocking :dk:

You're like my missus. Expects to much

We have nothing to play for pretty much so it will depend hugely on who wants to in a shift for us like Luke says.
Welling have to win by any means could be lively or bloody awful, most likely both.
I'm working so wont be there but will keep an eye on it .

Must be horrible for you. A boring mid table end of the season is horrible. Probably even worse in non league. Suppose a mid table finish might not be bad for you in the long term. A bit of stability is always a good thing

In my time following Torquay we've never once had a mid table season like this. It has always been promotion/playoff/relegation. This season has just been so dull. Complete write off after the Wrexham debacle the other week.

Absolutely also I'm 100% confident we will not be winning the title this year.

If you don't win the title, which your right in the mix for, you've still had an excellent season given your budget. Don't understand the negativity.

There's at least 20 clubs in this league that would love to be in the position you're in.

Same situation for us in that we need to win pretty much every game if we're gonna win the title, with the top 4 all away though it's another good chance for us to potentially gain some ground, in some strange and wonderful world we'll have a repeat of last week and find ourselves 2 points off top with a game in hand. I believe we can all live in such a world.

It's not really negative, to say I don't believe we will win the title, its just being realistic based on what I have seen so far and the fixtures we still have to play compared to our rivals.
Do I fancy us over two legs in the play offs? Personally if we avoid Bristol Rovers I do and then at Wembley it's anyones game.

I'm not a fan of the opinion others and some of our own fans have of " Oh we would of settled for just surviving at the start of the season"
The fact is the players have shown now what they are capable off so rightly so targets should be changed and we should expect to see the high standard of football we have seen in the first half of the season.

Off to the York match today instead as the ground is 200 yards from my house, I can't be arsed commuting to watch those wasters at the minute.

Lincoln 1-0, off Bencherif's baps or something.

Will be over 1,000 Carlisle fans. They travel very well

Stack; Yiadom, Stephens, N'Gala, Muggleton; Vilhete, Togwell, Clifford, Johnson; Weston (c); Akinde.

Totally defensive, looks like change of formation to 4-5-1. Cook, Luisma, Gash & Saville dropped

That lineup looks worse than what's left on the toilet bowl after a dodgy kebab.

Solid line up from us. Took the pitch in to consideration and are playing with no wingers. Although we can change if needs be. Pack the midfield and win ugly

Interesting line up for us today. Ibou Touray starting at left back, can only assume Gareth Roberts has an injury, Touray hasn't done much this season and i'm expecting him to be one of the players leaving in the summer.

Kane Richards starting in place of Craig Mahon, probably giving him some game time ahead of next season now we have nothing to play for.

Can't see past a Grimsby win but this league is a weird one.

I think it's the final evolution of the one man team, 10 to defend and Akinde to score.

Taylor; Cowan, Audel, Pilkington, Grant; Lewis, Turnbull, Whitaker; Fairhurst, MBH, Bailey-Jones.

Quite an attacking formation really, with Fairhurst and TBJ not the most defensive minded wide players, plus Lewis and Whitaker will both be looking to join attacks. Could be a high scoring one this......

Norwood returns on the bench. Good sub to have.

Apparently Jon Shaw is playing centre half for Gateshead today! And they've deliberately not watered the pitch and set up for hoof ball!
