Fair play to Sutton I thought they’d blown it a few weeks ago but no chance they’re not gonna do it now.
Win one of their last two and that’s it barring Torquay going goal crazy in their games.
This league next season is gonna have Brothers playing each other nearly every fucking week.
And tin potters pissing off the BELTs

Was well impressed with Sutton both times we played. They won’t blow it now, had their “wobble” a few weeks ago. EFL will be a real culture shock, though, I think, for their community set-up. Stockport for me in the playoffs .

Good entertaining game to watch. But who’d be a goalie. A fantastic save, followed by a mistake later that probably got it wrong that led to the second goal.

When Whitfield came on Torquay looked much more effective and threatening. His coming back from injury could be very important for the play offs.

Yes a terrific match to watch . Unfotunatly the sunderland loanee missing that sitterin injury time last week has cost us two points and the table would look very different now. Torquay have been without our best 3 attacking players for months too. Wright , Whitfield and Nemane are a massive lost. Also our best centre half Cameron out for couple of months

Torquay have led for the majority of this season. Only got themselves to blame.
Not sure blame's the right word, doesn't matter how long you lead the season all that matters is where you are after all the games have been played that's how league's work, everybody ends up in the position they deserve to be (except those teams who lost to Dover ;) ).

Congrats to Sutton, pretty much sealed it now. Will be a shame to lose a fellow South Eastern brother and a local-ish game but they’ve been the best team over the course of the season, and always nice to see an ex-Shot doing well, Matt Gray always got an unnecessary amount of stick whilst here.
Mad to think that three of the recent teams to win this league (assuming Sutton do go on and win it) are Barrow, Macclesfield and Sutton - just shows spending massive money doesn’t necessarily win you the title.

do you think that affected his confidence so instead of shooting today he passed across the box?

What was that fool doing passing that.

We can never forgive Stockport if they carry on with this charade, throwing their bodies in front of shots FFS.
I didn't see it but it sounds absolutely disgusting, in fact no it IS disgusting, despicable. So much unbrotherly shit going down.

Being bored I've looked at our injuries this season and from what every Gull will say was our first choice XI we've missed our full backs for 12 & 14 games, our main centre half for 16 games, our two wingers for 14 & 20 games and of course Danny Wright for 22 games.

Wright says he should be back for the last league game so hopefully with them all fit for the play-offs (except Nemane) we should be fresh if nothing else!

Good game between Stockport and Torquay. Bit lacking control from either side in the main with Stockport's midfield in particular being poor I thought and Torquay got through it fairly easily.

If either Torquay or Sutton slip up against our absolute shower of dog$hit, they should call the whole season off.

Imagine losing a title race when you drop points to us.

Not that it’ll happen, but still. Should equal a points deduction really.

Who is Simon Denton?
Couldn't for the life of me think of his first name, so took a chance on Simon coz Simon Denton seemed strangely familiar- I now remember he is the chief organiser for Shaymen Down South, and still a better player than the Denton you've got. :fl:

So what is is the big galloot's first name? :dk:

We can now finish no lower than 2nd, which will be our highest ever position at this level. 81 points means we’ve also beaten our highest ever points total at this level.

As for the title race, I am now willing to admit we’re favourites, however there’s still a stretch to go. I don’t know if I’m excited or overly nervous.
If we win 3-0 at the weekend (possible?) and you lose 3-0 (very unlikely) we will have identical records going into a final game shootout.

Come on Sutton, give the people (well maybe just me) what they want

Computer says no.

Sorry (not sorry).

Although I wouldn’t be 100% shocked if we did drop points at the weekend

with Tranmere looking for a new manager Hartlepools best chance of keeping ex-Tranmere player Dave Challinor is getting promoted themselves - so i'd expect Hartlepool to be up for the match against Sutton... then again they might fancy playing Torquay in the play off's rather than facing Sutton... who knows?

I think there's a good chance we lose Challinor if we don't go up, particularly with his history at Tranmere.

I think we can beat anyone with our full team out. Dont care who we play. We're as good as any of them above. We've just shelled too many points. But if we finish lower than 3rd I can't see us winning 3 games to go up.

is Tom White actually getting any game time with you? - he was an important part of our team when we went up last season...

Not a lot but he's the same type of player as Nicky Featherstone who I'd say is better on the ball. That's not to say I don't rate him, be happy to sign him up next season if we can.

Yeah absolutely, I wouldn't begrudge him it at all. Just if he does go it's after the play offs.

I think he'll stick around if we go up mind.

I dunno I'm not as optimistic on the last point, even if we do end up in the same league, bigger club, bigger budget, right on his doorstep, I think he'll snap their hands off.

He has another year on his contract (AFAIK) so at least we'd be due some compo.
