Can Gary Mills claim 'credit' for both York and Wrexham's FA Cup defeats?

He deserves it for that stupid haircut.

Red Poison is and will continue to make grim reading, sack the board calls growing..

Surely are we less shitter than 4 other sides and will survive....

If Mills was clinging on id be worried but as it is there is plenty of time for a new manager to come in and stabilise things. We need to get rid of half of the dross Mills brought in and the other half need a confidence boost. In amongst the rubbish we have the bones of an OK squad.

We won't be anywhere near the play offs though.

He's just like King Midas. Only difference is that things turn to diarrhoea shite, not gold.

At least the Chester fans on deva chat are having a good night. Someone should point out to the ones making fun of the attendance (just over 1500) that their average for the season so far is only 200 more.

On second thoughts let them have their fun.

I remember all the wrexham supporters on our forum laughing at ending our play off hopes but weve never been beaten by a team from level 8 at home!! I dont normally gloat at other teams misery but after the smugness of wrexham last season ive gotta admit this is even funnier then when we put 5 past them at the racecourse.

Yet.

Wait till you've been down here for 8 seasons once all the money has dried up and get back to me then.

We just lost to something called 'Stamford' who are cannon fodder in a league about 10 divisions below this one.

We need the Non League equivalent of Pulis. Sole objective for the new manager: "Keep us up."

Very harsh to call them cannon fodder at this league. They got relegated last season from the division above and changed half the squad, they've had a slow start but they will probably move up the table quickly when they actually start playing some more league games.

Delighted for them but prefer for clubs in the same division not to get lump sums, especially Stamford as we effectively compete for players willing to travel north for every away game (it kind of seems ridiculous, but it's true). Still pleased for them though.

Your lads knackered for the weekend? What are centre backs 3 and 4 like?

Centre-back 3 - Joey Jones - is in the worst form since being here. He came on tonight for Saah, immediately messed up, keeper saved and from the resulting corner Torquay scored.
We don't have a centre-back 4. Kieran Murtagh can fill-in but that is less than ideal.

Generally our fitness is decent considering we're part-time. In basically all the games this season we've come on stronger in the second half. The players have put in a hell of a lot in the past two games, though, so understandable if they're shattered after 60 minutes on Saturday against full-time, no mid-week game Barrow.

You shouldn't have any problems on Saturday. One of our major weaknesses is defending balls into the box so you're going to PULVERISE us.

I think most Barrow fans have this down as a win, but even though everything's in our favour, I wouldn't be so cocky. It's definitely a game that Hannah should get a run out in though, and we're without Jordan Williams who's suspended, so there will be a winger desperate to impress in his place. Unfortunately for you though, we've hit form now, so it will take a hell of an effort for Woking to take 3 points. There's still mistakes in our defence (well, keeper) too though.

You're Woking, nobody cares. We concerned about one of our fellow great and historic Football League clubs here. Run along and talk to ChrisFGR and the other Tin Pot chumps. :bdick:

The first half last night sounded like the second half of Saturday and it was one-way traffic.

Glad to get through, though.

Are Barrow proper or tinpot?

Anyway Wrexham fans must be glad that the club adopted a 1 year contract only policy last summer, otherwise they'd be stuck with a lot of oxygen thieves who'd be tough to shift.

The new manager has got quite a clear out on his hands me thinks. Worth paying a few off?

How dare you even question our tinpottedness.
We're both proper (ex-league and all that) and massively tinpot (ramshackle ground etc).

Our Replay at Gateshead is tonight. Will be heading up there later but full expect a heavy defeat as we fold like a pack of cards away from home. But this is the FA Cup so you never know...

If Alfreton get to the first round when giants like Wrexham, Tranmere, York and ourselves have gone out in the qualifying, I say the whole thing should be called off immediately.

Do us a favour and drag it out to extra time please. We have Gateshead on Saturday.

One other comment, Wrexham 0 Lincolnshire 2. Sorry couldn't resist!

That's one hell of a result for the Daniels, esp after being so close initially and to only get pegged back.
They beat Town in the Lincs Cup pre-season - and it wasn't a totally reserve Grimsby side. It's my home town kind of, parents moved there when I was at Uni - by which time I was totally committed to the Mariners, if I'd been younger when they moved I could have been a Peterboro fan - ugh lucky escape there...

Shame they are not at home in Rd 1, Hartlepool will have enough to beat them - sort of game when Amond could get 4...
