MK Dons (H) is the most depressing start possible (except MK away).

Fans of FGR & Morecambe - what do your away ends hold? I'm thinking we'll sell both of these out given that FGR is the opening away day for us and Morecambe is on August BH weekend.

Dunno, 900 or so last season but it's being partially rebuilt, so insead of it just being an open terrace there'll be some seats and also a bit more standing. Not sure exactly how much or when it will be ready, club has been pretty vague. For our pre-season games Leeds and The Gas are getting the North Stand, if the West terrace isn't ready you might get that too.

Stevenage away is slightly better than Bromley away I guess.

Morecambe will let you have their home end too if you look like bringing a big crowd.

The Cheltenham Festival will be the following week - I assume there are Tuesday games that clash with that for the rest of the division (in fact I've checked and that appears to be the case).

Nice start with Crawley at home, home on Boxing Day as well to MK Dons and our last home game will be a big crowd with Swindon coming to Whaddon Road.

Only two home Tuesday fixtures at the moment as well - which is good for me as I can't make them due to the wife working evenings. Crewe at home on 15th Sept will be missed as well due to my son's birthday party (the wife seems to plan these on purpose).

All in all, I'm happy with how the fixtures have panned out.
Why did Cheltenham not request an away game on that day?

Sometimes though, the fixture list can be a star!

Andy, one of our mates now lives down in Weston Super Mare and getting married on the 2nd November.

We said all we need now is a local game to there - and we got Cheltenham. Bloody brilliant

Cambridge, Crawley and Macclesfield away on Tuesday nights. That'll be fun.

One assumes they did, but I couldn't possibly know.
Probably doesn't really matter as much given it would have been on a Tuesday anyway. I'd at first thought it would mean Cheltenham playing on Tuesday while everyone else plays on the Saturday.

It could have been that they want each team to, as much as is possible, play the same amount of Tuesday home and away fixtures, or the police could have made a late decision after the initial list had already come out that Cheltenham couldn't be home during the festival.

2 of our longest trips happen to be the opening day and the final day.

Exeter away first, Yeovil away last is taking the piss!

You have to play them at some stage, surely having them so far apart is advantageous as it gives you time to save up your hard earned to make the trips?

Well I'd love a bank with a billion quid in it and repeated passionate evenings with a personally chosen selection of glamour models but life is tough!

We should start with a win having beaten Colchester at home about 400 times in a row. :D

Trip to Sincil Bank before the end of August is an interesting one.

17th time in 20 years we'll have been away on the first game of the season.

Notts County the week before Christmas for us again! Not to be suspicious or anything but something makes me think they don’t want our fans travelling in numbers again...

Sorry to hear that. Life isn’t tough for me, but I hear you and hope things improve.

Experimental 351 are very quick off the mark, with a fixture difficulty matrix based on current bookie's odds already created

Also noticed :

Our first five fixtures - FGR (H), Macc (A), Lincoln (H), MK Dons (A), Newport (A)

First five fixtures after NYD - FGR (A), Macc (H), Lincoln (A), MK Dons (H), Newport (H)

Not very inventive are they?

Colchester, Yeovil and Cambridge away on Tuesday nights is abit shit.

It is and it isn't I guess. A ball ache for the hardcore away fans, a ball ache if we are doing well and the away support goes up, but it looks like all our Northern matches are on a Saturday, we have had Morecambe etc on a Tuesday night quite few times.

Disappointed with Macc away being the last Saturday before Christmas. No chance of getting to that unless I change jobs.

I was looking forward to Macc away, then looked at the date only to notice I will be in Mexico. Ying and yang! I come back from Spain literally a few hours before we play Vale at our place, on paper I can make it, but I get a sneaky feeling that this one may get switched to earlier once Cheshire old bill have had their say.

Losing away to Cheltenham. Without checking I think we have a horrible record against the Robins.

I still haven't forgotten the 1-5 in the Southern League.

I may be wrong (and invariably am more often than not) but I think we've only lost once in the Football League to Crawley in Feb/March 2012, and that was at Crawley.

Another home game to start the season, this will be the 10th season straight that we've kicked off the league campaign with a home match. Even the year that the Capital One Cup started the season we were at home. Hasn't given us much of an advantage mind, just 1 win in that time.

Lincoln at home then Carlisle away.

Lincoln should travel well so should be a good crowd and atmosphere to start us off.
Carlisle away first away game, waiting for Virgin to announce their summer seat sale but I imagine I'll be heading up there.

Annoyed at FGR away on New Years Day as I'll probably shit myself, whilst Macclesfield away on a Tuesday in October is also a big bag of shite.
When do Virgin tend to announce that?

Being CEO of the 1FF Wablo Society for as long as I have very rarely did I set foot in the L2 forums, so I'm not sure whether what you've said above is to be classed as 'banter' or is in fact informative....
