OK, you're on.

Hope we've got 11 players by August - it's like the Marie Celeste at the CG!

You signed anyone yet?
Nope! Lots of rumours but Cotts is just back from his holidays so we may well see something soon. The usual suspects are being mentioned but most of us are waiting until something actually happens and watching the Williams stand being flattened.

Cardsfan bets Bottega Don £5 that Woking finish higher in the Conference than Scunthorpe in League One.

I'll bet any Coventry City supporter a fiver that they won't receive a 25,000+ attendance at the Ricoh all season.

Bit of local fun:

I'll bet one Rochdale fan and one Bury fan £5 that we finish highest of the 3 of us.
Better late than never but I'll have the Bury end of this.

Right, time to bump this thread because the end of the season is closing in and we have a good idea of which of the meagre 4 bets that were placed can be called in or not.

Here are the bets:

Craig says Danny Rose will score 15 or more league goals this season - 4froale disagrees - £5 Danny Rose sits on 5 league goals for the season. So unless he scores 10 in Bury's last game, Craig will lose. Not official yet, but I'd have your wallet ready Craig.

Crewelad87 - I'll bet £5 with any Vale fan that we beat you over the two games in the event of a tie (away goals don't count as double) the team that finishes higher in the league wins. Dan Phillips accepts. Well, Crewelad87 lost that bet on both counts. Port Vale drew 0-0 at Gresty Road and soundly beat Crewe 3-0 at Vale Park. They also finished higher than Crewe. So, Crewelad87, please contact a member of the admin team(Saddlerrad, Tractor Boy etc) to find out how to pay your bet.

Indian Dan - In the spirit of detente I'll bet a fiver with any 82er that we will finish higher in L1 than you will in the Championship. Ciderup accepts. Still up in the air. As it stands, Swindon at 16th in L1. They can finish is anywhere from 14th-18th. Bristol City are 17th in the Championship. They can finish anywhere from 14th-20th. In the event of both teams finishing in the same spot in their respective leagues, I'm not sure what we do. You could either both pay £5, or neither of you pay £5. Don't mind which.

Hurrikeen - I'll bet one Rochdale fan and one Bury fan £5 that we finish highest of the 3 of us. Dale4ever and KeithH accept. Hurrikeen loses this bet. There is a slim chance Oldham could pass Bury and finish higher up, but they won't catch Rochdale. So, as above, please contact a member of the admin Hurrikeen for how to pay your £5.

It's for site upkeep isn't it? If Dan is agreeable, I reckon we should both pay a fiver if it's level.

Sounds fair enough. I'd pay more than a fiver to just forget the entire shitty season, tbh

Just for the sake of clarity,
Do I have to cough up a fiver for the shame of finishing below Fail (again)?
