Afternoon,

As most people know we will be opening a 'blog' section to the website in the coming weeks.

We will be 'looking' for new writers via Social Media and directing them to this thread when they sign up.

If you are a current member of 1FF and you would like to write about your side, or your interested in what it may entail - drop a message in here and someone will get back to you properly.

If you aren't already a member and you have signed up specifically to post in this thread, please leave the following information.

1) Twitter Handle
2) Which team you are interested in covering

What are we looking for?
People who would like to write match reports and previews on their side. Obviously, some people will want to blog on other topics and they can do so freely. In order to raise awareness and help Google pick the site up, we will be looking for specific match writers. Google absolutely loved blog posts and the more posts there are, the more traffic, the more links in to the website.

These reports don't have to be huge, don't have to be masterful - just clear with a bit of background work.

All work will be promoted via social media.

Cheers.
Admin.

I'll do some stuff on Southampton. At Uni I'm on a blogging module and I've just started my own blog about the club. Would I be able to use the same content on here and on that, or shall I keep the two seperate?

Probably a question for TractorBoys but I don't think Google likes it when the same content is on 2 different websites at the same time. So I'm unsure there.

While I'd hardly be any good at doing an Argyle related write up or whatever (I don't even know half the team these days) I'd actually be up for doing a wrestling one once in a while if you'd want. I know it's not exactly football, but fuck it.

Besides, everybody seems to disagree with my point of view on wrestling, so if nothing else it can hopefully get us a few new members who'll sign up simply to tell me to shut the fuck up and that Cena sucks, so there's always that.

Yeah, this doesn't just count in the Football department. I expect FM, Wrestling and potentially TV to all have their own little review section.

I'd happily do some TV stuff once that particular section is up and running. If you'll have me ;)

I could write about my love of Crash Bandicoot for you :woo:

Nah but seriously if Hertswolf isn't around to do it, I could write about Wolves and whatever tinpot division we end up in.

My name is HertsWolf and I have an idea for a novel based on a lad, Hamley, recalled from uni by a couple of stewards to see a big match. When he gets back he finds that his dad, who was the star player, has died and his number 9 shirt now being worn by his Uncle Claudio who has also married his mum. Hamley's a bit pissed off with this and gets depressed. Claudio gets two of Hamley's mates, Rosencrantz and Leon Clarke, to spy on him while he chats to a wannabe WAG, Chlamydia.
Hamley decides to test his uncle's guilt so when a group of loan players from FC Copenhagen arrive in town, he sets up a benefit match.

Anyway, I can do this as a blog or just go straight into a play. I was going to call it "Hamley".

I see no issues getting this published.

I can do one on French and German football. I am already publishing articles for other blogs but don't have the opportunity to write about German football as much as I would like (and I mean that in a way that I don't have a blog to write on, not that I don't have enough time, I have lots of time, LOTS) so I'd be up for that.

So when is this whole social media thang getting launched, redmen?

Hi, I wouldn't mind doing stuff on general football stuff really, like season previews and reviews, reaction to transfers, and some stuff about Bristol City, and possibly match reviews.

Nope, please don't see it like that. Absolutely go for it, as much and as often as possible!

I was thinking of using the blog function as an outlet for my extremely violent, unpleasant and perverse erotic fiction. Is that allowed?
