Can't argue about the comment about some of our defending though, we've let some terrible goals in this season, not just the last few games.
True but if that’s what stems from being more attacking and having less players back then I’m all for it, I’ll happily accept some dodgy goals against us if it means we’re creating plenty at the other end.

Yes, but that's only since our Jolley times that we've been more adventurous in our play. The shitty defensive mistakes are still happening.

Colchester have done the double over Swindon already this season winning 3-0 at Swindon and 3-1 at home, they also beat them 3-0 in the EFL Cup. We recently won at Colchester so we're nailed on for an easy win obviously.

We all know that's how football works don't we. :eyes:

The depressing thing is that some fans actually think like that and use it in pointless arguments.

Bloody hell! You lot are a bit excitable. Recent wins over the might of Morecambe and Stevenage have addled your nappers.

You need a good stuffing to calm yourselves down.

What are you going on about. I think that you'll find, apart from Son Of Cod, every Grimsby fan who has posted on this thread thinks we'll get beat!

Morecambe actually looked decent, gave us a tough game. Adams has got them well drilled.

On paper, this should be a cracking game. I think we'll have too much fire power but I reckon Grimsby will give us a scare. Going for a 4-2 win.

Safe journey to all our fishy friends travelling down.

Enjoyable first half for a0-0. We’ve hit the woodwork twice and a couple of other good opportunities. Grimsby looking good, too.

Wind spoiling the game, Swindon had the wind so more possession but not sure if its more of a hindrance due to the ball being over hit every time.

We have generally restricted them to long shots and they've had a few, hit the bar and post though but both from deflected shots.

We had a couple good chances, Waterfall free header straight at the keeper, Vernam cross that just needed a touch to knock it in and one of Vermans runs with a long range shot just wide.

Hopefully the wind helps us in the second half and keeps the ball more in their half, but going to take something decent to get a goal judging by the first half.

Sounds like we’re losing the battle in midfield but I think that was expected. Would take a point from here as we’ve rode our luck a little bit.

If that had happened to us at home I’d be fully expecting a 1-0 sucker punch away win so I hope you’ve prepared yourself for it bud.

Aye Benson has been awful, not found a town player with a pass yet. Whitehouse also having one of his poor games.

Poor defending for both goals, but shows the wind was a hindrance for Swindon as they started the same way but this time the balls forward held up in the wind instead of going straight out for a goal kick.

Our third goal is an absolute classic. Not sure your keeper covered himself in glory with our second either.

Did ok in the first half, but can't defend three crosses like that in first 10 of second half, can't have Benson and Whitehouse being awful and can't only have the option of Matt Green to come of the bench at 3-1 down against the league leaders and expect to get anything.

Grimsby very disappointing in the 2nd half - even with the wind. Can’t remember the BFG making a save.

Could and should have chalked up a few more really.

Gifted top of the table side three goals in 11 minutes, plus some comedy errors from us before we gave the goals away. We are good to watch at times, but we flatter to deceive and got punished by our own mistakes. I thought both teams played some neat football considering the conditions but Swindon had loads more chances than us to score, in both halves. ref was a homer too, but we lost the game ourselves, not because of him.
