2-0 win, but could and should have had several more as we completely outplayed Cardiff and wasted a whole slew of chances. Buendia and Cantwell on another level, while Pukki just had a bit of an off day in front of goal (no doubt at least partially cos he was with his wife in hospital celebrating the birth of his second child in the early hours).

Cardiff were absolutely turgid and offered nothing besides set pieces, so I'd imagine a mid-table finish beckons for them. Wilson should have received a red card right at the end for them, slicing into Cantwell with a two-footed, aerial challenge from behind.

Seen Blackburn fans bleating on about the play-offs over the past few weeks, just looked and we're two points behind them and we've been largely shite. How low are their standards?

Really impressive first half against Bournemouth. First 15 mins the visitors looked like they were the classier team that you’d expect, but our play on the break is really positive.

We’ve been brilliant so far against Bournemouth. More than matched them after a bit of a shaky first 10 or so minutes and have grown into since. They commit so many bodies to attack that the gaps are there to exploit on the counter, wild t be surprised to see Cornick on if it continues in this fashion, he’s not a great season so far but this game was made for him.

For all the good work and structure to our game which is clearly there it’s the same old story in the final third though. There always seems to be an inopportune slip, a slightly over hit pass or played slightly behind someone that kills momentum and makes threatening looking moments just lose there sting and chances harder to come by. But positive signs again

Well earned point for us against Bournemouth there. Weathered a bit of an early storm and in the end I felt we were stronger side in the game.

Got to say though, and this probably shows how far we’ve come since last season, in that there is a bit of a twinge at 2 points gone begging. Felt like we had some really openings to make something happen but our final action just leaves a lot to be desired. The first 2/3rds of the pitch is there and is at the level but it just feels that we are often left wanting at the sharp end of the pitch.

Good point guys.

You probably wish we were visiting soon - that would be 3 points for you!

Another away game without a goal from open play.

Utter, utter shite. Play for a 0-0 AGAIN against bottom of the league and we can't even get that. Without Hamer we're such a nothing team.

We are struggling in that aspect too!

Is there any danger that you lot pull the trigger on Ivic? He seems pretty dour and is not exactly getting the best out of the likes of Sarr et al.

The crowd against Brentford didn’t seem too pleased and...well you do have a reputation now.

Our form is irrelevant against Bristol City, we'll always turn over those mugs, unbeaten in 15 against them.

Thought we were good first half and defended well in the second despite a few of them looking out on their feet. Gallagher turned back the years and a top game, Huntington showing he's worth another year too.
With Weimann, Paterson, Mawson, J Williams, L Walsh, Sessegnon, Baker, Dasilva, Brunt all out with injuries, I would be worried if you didn’t last night!

We’re fucked. I’m relieved we’ve got 30 points so it gives us a bit of breathing space!

Pearson, Bauer, Ledson, Potts & Hughes out for us, every team is crippled with first team players missing, i'd wager your depth is much better than ours.

We've been utter bollocks without Bauer & Pearson providing the solidity and Ledson & Potts have been key players this year.

The fans would say yes - as you say were aren't getting much out of the attackers and apparently Ivic has fakkne out with Deeney it seems.

Only one winner there.

Reports he will indeed be sacked, becoming a bit of circus up at the allotments if you don’t mind me saying. Probably wrong appointment in the first place to be fair, surely the Pozzos need to get this one right otherwise there are big consequences if you stuck at this level.

Deeney needs to retire and go full time being a blabber mouth on talk sport.

Everyone has to take responsibility- cannot keep blaming the manager.

Players not performing and manager hasn’t set them up well attacking wise.

It’s been a circus for donkeys years, since Bassini took over.

And now Ivic is gone - what a joke of a club.

Surely you have to question the model. A lot of those players aren’t there because they are a part of a cohesive squad built to play a certain way for a team with a vision. The strategy is to make money for the Pozzos which may or may not mean success for Watford fc. They are individual assets which the Pozzos are looking to make some money on. That can’t be good for anyone coming into manage them.

Or to cut a long story short, the fans should grow some balls and force them to sell up.

Maybe but then we might end up with another Bassini!

That is a good point.

Shame apart from Sarr we have no sellable assets now !

I think we have a mix of young players and others past their best or not performing.

I see Watford are going for the new manager bounce to try and get a result against us next week. Bet the new guy, whoever it ends up being, won't make it to the end of the season either.

Are you joking about Deeney's power? You all be saying he should be shipped out and his legs have gone. Unless as a Club you have eyes on promoting from within - which has not ever been your MO - then surely any power he had would be minimal.

Well he did want to go but no one really came in for him.

I quite after we need to have a younger better replacement but we only have Andre Gray..

Thought it looked fine for the Norwich and Preston games but there were some weird bobbles, especially by the SKF clock this afternoon. One that Pelly dealt with remarkably well was particularly alarming!

Most of it looks fine but the areas where they do shooting practice, the aforementioned clock and the other end in the area around by the oak road toward the tunnel to the side of the goal looked badly cut up today and that’s where there some strange bounces this afternoon. Obviously not been for a while but saw a few people saying the pitch looked a bit more tired than usual.

It was bobbling around a little bit, but Tindall really needs to grow a pair and get on with it. It appeared in pretty decent condition considering the amount of rain recently.

I'd happily take Andre on loan if you want to pay his wages.

I say it again - I'd rather be Luton Town in the third division than Watford under the Pozzos. I didn't even realise that on 11th December he won the manager of the month award!

Not sure how tbh!

We were pretty poor in that month performance wise nicking a couple of wins and getting undeserved draws on the road .

I thought it was noticeable in our game to be honest, just very heavy compared to what you usually see in this league.

Piss poor excuse from any manager though.

Ive noticed its not looking as smooth and grassy as in previous years. Im not there so maybe the weather is much shittier than normal but it doesnt look as good as prev seasons not really into winter yet either. So wondered if there had been changes in the Groundsmen.
