Deeney offers you nothing, surely you have someone else who can take a penalty as that all seems to do.

Also seems to have embarrassed himself with some pre match comments that now make him look a little silly.
Not really as Gray is poor and Pedro young so raw .
How many penalties has Deeney scored?
Just looked and he's scored 7 goals in 13 starts this season with 3 assists, still looked a good player against us.
He did play well v you .

Scored 36 out of 41.

I am sure we will be play offs but we aren’t really scoring enough .

I wouldnt be so sure on play offs. I smell a chance of you falling away badly if things get tough. Prima donas dont fancy it, terrible pitches, no ref player protection, getting kicked all over the park, new foreign Manager, with no English experience.

Ohhhh Im getting tingles down my spine. Perfect set up for your visit to the Kenny at the end if the season..........with fans

I'm getting increasingly confident of fans in stadiums by April 1st - only 2,000 mind. In a place like Kenilworth Road, that makes a massive difference.

True - we will have to be a lot better and score more goals because we won’t get penalties every game !

No midweek game for us, Rotherham at home on Saturday, picking a team is interesting.

Rotherham seem in decent form so you would think it's a good time to play us, lots of new players bedding in and really struggling for goals.

Guess at a team.

Iversen
Browne, Huntington, Lindsay, Cunningham
Whiteman, Molumby
Gordon, Johnson, Sinclair
Maguire

Only change for us tonight in Buendia's absence through suspension is Placheta coming into the side in his place on the left wing. Need to be far more flexible and aggressive than we were on Saturday, as Millwall will no doubt be similarly difficult to break down as they've already proved once this season.

Pitch is not great and that's definitely a hindrance to our attacking play, but even with that in mind it's all a bit flat across the park for both teams. Only real sparks coming from Placheta as it stands, but his end product continues to be lackluster.

Awful performance from us again thus far, offering absolutely nothing but powderpuff shots from range. Seem to have completely lost any attacking ability since the Barnsley cup game, though equally Millwall are offering very little threat of their own going forwards despite being more open than in the reverse fixture.

Can't afford to drop too many points with Swansea and Brentford both in fine form, but it looks like we're about to drop another two here. EDIT: Yep, we're completely choking now and I am not looking forward to playing Swansea on Friday night in our current form, as we'll probably get swept aside with ease.

I'm not sure Norwich will ever score a goal again.

Everyone has a dip, just got to hope it doesn't become a slide. I'd write-off the Swansea game now - especially with Hooper in the middle. 3-0 win minimum for them. But after that City really need to get going again.

jesus christ, that was the worst game of football I've seen for some time - us v Brum.

It could well be an L1 fixture next season, but that honestly could have been an L2 game. 90 minutes of midfield scrap and head tennis.

Unfortunately as well, our only real hope would be to beat our fellow crapsters, if we can't even do that, then...

We're in big, big trouble. Next 7 games are Watford (h), Cardiff (a), Norwich (h), Swansea (a), Brentford (h), Blackburn (a) and Middlesbrough (h) and we're only points off the drop having played 3 more than Rotherham and 1 more than Derby and Wednesday. Don't see where the next 3 points comes from.

Swansea away tonight is a huge one tonight after three consecutive poor performances in all competitions. We need to win tonight to stop our slump, but it's going to be tricky against an in-form Swansea who have also had more time to rest for this game than the three days we've had.

No new injury concerns at least, but I think we need to see a bit of rotation tonight as some players simply haven't been performing. At the very least, I'd say Vrancic needs a break and Sorensen should be brought straight back into the side whether at left back or in midfield. I also wouldn't be displeased to see Idah start in place of Pukki, as the latter has been entirely out of sorts since his return from injury as he's struggled to hit the ball cleanly or with any power when chances have come.

Swansea are excellent right now. With the Millers having beaten boro away 3-0 and Derby twice (bookending them winning 3 on trot without conceding), Swansea beat us 3-1 at home and we had no complaints about it. Fully deserved.

A better performance so far, but that rare mistake from Krul is probably enough for this to be game over, as we still aren't offering any real threat offensively. Potential to end our automatic promotion race as well, as we're losing so much ground over both Brentford and Swansea very quickly and neither look likely to slip up while our wheels have well and truly come off.

We're utterly useless without Buendia, and that's one of numerous reasons we won't be getting promoted this season. Summer fire sale here we come!

Hourihane proving to be a very good loan signing by Swansea.

Huddersfield at home today. They are in some pretty rotten form away from home, no win in 8 and only 2 points from that run. We all know what that means!

We have done pretty well this year of not letting losses mount up to become bad losing runs, which has kept us in that mid table area and away from trouble so far. We have just lost 2 on the spin though, albeit having played well in both games, so could really do with continuing in that vein and picking up the 3 points today. Not saying we are in trouble just yet but you don’t want to lose 3 on the spin as it’s easy to start looking over your shoulder and sliding from that position.

Hope we see Ince from the off today. Clear we need a bit quality in attacking areas which I’m hoping he can provide.

I think we will have a positive result today - we've certainly played better than what our last 4 games have returned, but we did play Bournemouth, Blackburn, Brentford and Chelsea in that time! Tom Ince has to be thrown in from the start... I don't understand our club's hesistancy with throwing new signings in? Look at Charlie Austin at QPHa a few weeks ago.

I'd so with the following side:

GK Simon Sluga
RB James Bree
LB Dan Potts
CB Sonny Bradley
CB Tom Lockyer
DM Glen Rea
CM Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
CM Luke Berry
RF Harry Cornick
LF Tom Ince
CF James Collins

Subs: James Shea, Matty Pearson, Danny Hylton, George Moncur, Jordan Clark, Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu, Kal Naismith, Joseff Morell, Elijah Adebayo
Not Required: Ryan Tunnicliffe, Brendan Galloway, Sam Nombe, Martin Cranie
Injured: Eunan O'Kane

Cunningham & Evans sign permanently until the end of the season so all 8 signings can be in the match day squad now.

Never thought i'd see Evans start a game but he can't do any worse than what we've had lately. A big freshen up was need imo.

Don’t think we have played well in any away game this season ?!

Coventry should be 3 up.

Rea only on the bench along with the new lads. No sign of Bree again, which means I assume Pearson and Potts at fullback so probably having Rea in that mix might be overkill on defensively only players really.

Really disappointing to see Bree out again frustrating season from him and us as we could really do with him and his attacking positivity from wide, but his lack of real pre season really showing. Becoming a bit of a sick note.

Luton 1-0 Huddersfield - really defensive cock up from Sarr allows Collins to get his 10th of the season (clearly he isnt good enough)

Really good half for us. Created some fine chances to add to some good pressure we have created in previous games so good to see us building off those performances.

Twinge of disappointment it’s not 2 as Potts managed to hit the post with his header from about a yard out but we just look more threatening today overall. With Berry playing over Rea it flips that midfield to being slightly more attacking and he tends to get himself in the box which just gives teams something to think about and importantly another player for us to hit there.

Huddersfield had little of the play, wouldn’t necessarily go as far to say they have looked threatening but you can see them getting something especially with the Toffollo/Pearson match up, even though it’s not created something clear cut. Do feel there are more goals to come though.

He could hardly miss it to be fair. Great ball from Cornick. Good to see him in that spot though, he’s been wide too often lately.

Huddersfield really are an ordinary side. There is a lot of dross in the bottom half of the division; much more so than last season - it is actually tightening up a lot.

Pretty disappointing draw in the end really. Played well first half and should have been 2 up but second half we didn’t do enough to go and win the game. Although Huddersfield didn’t really create something clear cut until the goal you felt the threat there and kind of could feel something would eventually come for them. Looked a bit of a dive for the free kick to me but we should defend it better.

Always easy to say in hindsight but think Jones got the subs wrong today, too late. Not the first time this season so either I don’t think.

Still as they say if you can’t win dont lose and we didn’t. Need a win soonish though otherwise with the way it seems to be bunching in that lower end of the table we are going to get drawn down.

Carbon copy of at least two other games this season - go 1-0 up, comfortable, don't bring on any fresh legs, sleepwalking, concede and then chase the game.

Could have really done with a win today ahead of Birmingham next week. If we dont win that we start to really get dragged down. Not too worried just yet but holding on today would have taken some of the pressure off. Big month coming up against sides in and around us and its started with a bit of a disappointment.

Another week, more dropped points and another injury. Watford were right there for the taking today, but we’re utterly diabolical in front of goal. Can’t really blame the management team as I don’t think any team in our position would be able to cope with their two best forwards picking up long term injuries, however it does feel like we’re in real trouble. We’re going to have to magic up a win against one of Cardiff, Norwich, Brentford, Swansea or Blackburn else we’ll be in the shitter. No idea what DaCosta went off with today but that’s potentially both recognised RBs in the squad out injured at the same time for the second time this season.
