First choice keeper, signing of the season, bags of experience and quality. Austrian. 6'2".

Age - 20
Position - Goalkeeper
Previous Clubs - Exeter
Joint back up keeper alongside Pym. Probably number 2 now. 6'1".

Name - Christie Pym
Age - 20
Position - Goalkeeper

England U-20 GK. Now down the pecking order somewhat after giving Tisdale some billy big bollocks attitude. 6'0".

Name - Danny Butterfield

Veteran defender. Quite involved in the training and development program now.

Another veteran defender. Plays LB for city.

Position - Midfielder

The second spell with the club for this veteran midfielder. The stepover, the dragback, short sideways passing, all these things are in his toolbox of midfield play.

Another defender old enough to be your grandfather.

Name - Christian Ribeiro
Age - 27
Position - Defender / Right Back
Previous Clubs - Bristol City, Colchester, Carlisle, Scunthorpe
One of the best right backs in the division, athletic, good in the air and good going forwards. Often his attacking ability is wasted by being played at center back.

Name - Ryan Harley
Age - 30
Position - Midfielder
Previous Clubs - Bristol City, Exeter, Swansea, MK Dons, Brighton, Swindon
A relative youngster compared to a lot of the team, part of the midfielder trifecta of passing prowess. Watch as Noble, Harley and Oakley pass it between themselves in the center circle for hours on end. Be careful though because if your players fall asleep or become mesmerized by the vast array of sideways passing on display we might actually score a goal. Unlikely though because that would involve a forwards pass at some point.

Position - Midfielder

Sorry, we assumed you just wanted to read a long list of ancient players adept in the dark arts of sideways passing. The creme de la creme of mediocre veteran center midfielders. A powerful combination of short passing prowess inside the center circle alongside his veteran compatriots Noble and Harley.

Position - Winger
Previous Clubs - Derby, Bradford, Southampton, Preston, Swindon, Portsmouth
Finally!!! A direct player under the age of 30!!! Hallelujah!!

Name - Arron Davies
Age - 27
Position - Defender / Right Back
Previous Clubs - Southampton, Yeovil, Notts Forest, Brighton, Peterborough, Northampton
Right sided midfielder playing more and right wing back for us. Average in many ways, normally scores a couple of flukey goals each season.

Name - Clinton Morrison
Age - 38
Position - Forward
Previous Clubs - Crystal Palace, Birmingham, Coventry, Sheff Wednesday, Colchester.
Yes we have veteran strikers too. Not that big Clint ever really strikes the ball. Still a better target man than Barry Corr.

Name - Alex Nicholls
Age - 28
Position - Winger/Striker
Previous Clubs - Walsall, Northampton
Slowish winger or number 10 kind of striker. Not bad, can dribble, often played wide as part of a front three strikeforce.

Name - Jordon Moore-Taylor
Age - 21
Position - Defender
Previous Clubs -
Product of ECFC academy, great left footed ball playing central defender. Can play left back as well. Not the biggest aerial threat but good with the ball at his feet and relatively quick.

Name - Will Hoskins
Age - 29
Position - Striker
Previous Clubs - Rovrum, Watford, Bristol Rovers, Sheff Utd, Brighton.
Talented striker who has suffered continual strings of injuries throughout his career. Scored on his debut as a sub for us, still probably only 50% fit.

Name - Jamie Reid
Age - 21
Position - Striker
Previous Clubs -
ECFC academy product, not getting much game time at the moment due to recovering from an injury. Scored twice on his league debut against wimbledon, on his day looks like a beast of a striker.

Name - Manny Oyeleke
Age - 23
Position - Midfielder
Previous Clubs - Brentford, Aldershot, Northampton
Bit of an unknown quantity at the moment although Tisdale thinks he will develop into a quality box-to-box center mid.

Name - Tom Nichols
Age - 22
Position - Striker
Previous Clubs -
Another ECFC academy product widely touted to be the next big thing. A fox in the box type striker with a fair bit of brains about him. Top scorer last season and probably will be again this year.


Name - David Wheeler
Age - 25
Position - Winger / Striker
Previous Clubs - Staines Town
Speedy winger with a great touch. Sometimes played as a striker but best when he is running at defenders from wide positions. Very tricky and direct.

Name - Tom McCready
Age - 24
Position - Midfielder
Previous Clubs - Morecambe, Altrincham
Center mid, bit unknown at the moment, probably vying with manny oyeleke for game time and sub appearances.

Name - Troy Brown
Age - 25
Position - Defender
Previous Clubs - Cheltenham, Rotherham, Ispwich, Aldershot
First choice center back at present, looks alright and should develop nicely with help from the more experienced players around him.

Other various first team subs:
Jordon Tillson - Center Back
Ollie Watkins - Striker
Matt Jay - Striker


Key Player: Tom Nichols. Developing into a very prolific striker, if he scores a lot this year he will go for big bucks.

One to Watch: David Wheeler. Pace, aggression, skill and commitment. When he's playing well he is a joy to watch.

Biggest Weakness: Age. Easily one of the slowest central midfields in the division, run through the center with pace if you want to succeed against us.
