At the risk of sounding like I'm on the wind up (honestly I'm not!) that's blatantly been designed with the theme park in mind.

Surely it'd reduce the capacity too?

Apparently, that "stand" can hold 1,750 people standing but should we need to, it will be reduced to have seating put in place.

The owner has said from the off he wants to put things in place so we can generate some money without having to solely rely on him. The redeveloped ground will provide that, but I can't imagine it being a very good place to watch football!

What the hell has happened to St Albans City?

A 4-0 defeat to Gosport?!

1 win in 12 or something, truly awful. They were 7 or 8 points ahead of us before Christmas!

Scraped through our home game with Weston today. 34/36 points in 2017 now. Still 1 point in it at the top, it's going to come down to April 22...

Wealdstone 1-1 Chelmsford City (Att: 841)

Point from a penalty that shouldn't have been given.

In fairness, I can see why the referee gave it in real time but it's a shocker upon looking it at slow-mo. Chelmsford are being lumbered with the stereotype of being a physical team but they can mix it up and they have some technically very good players. Jokes on Rod Stringer though for not utilising Bagasan Graham more, we had two players (Wes Parker and Jonny Wright) playing out of position at right back and let's just say that they're not blessed with speed.

The manager claims it isn't happening but suspect they are having the cut costs and lost some key players in recent weeks.

Whilst I'm pleased we're improving our ground, I'm slightly disappointed with this.

Of course it, along with the current stand being done up, will bring in a decent amount of money, the fans appear to be a massive afterthought. I wouldn't even call it a stand.
Really not a fan of what Ebbsfleet are planning.
Remember going to watch Gravesend/Dover back in the 90s and being impressed by the Plough end and the overall atmosphere......was always hoping Maidstone would one day get proper covered terracing like that and now you're replacing it with this :(

Who wouldn't want to stay in a hotel in Northfleet though?

Hope Maidenhead do the same in the last 8 games, although I can't see it. They've done well to be a point ahead of us considering they were 11 ahead of us before Christmas!

I'm not happy with it mate. It's not a stand. It's a hotel with some steps thrown at the back, the atmosphere will be non existent. Suppose I shouldn't have expected much else from the architects who also designed Dartford's...

No problem with them building a hotel, but this is the main home end. Great way to piss off the fans.

Eventually they have to rebuild the Swanscombe end too right? Maybe they can do something nice with that and make it the new home end.

A few people have suggested that, but the Northfleet/Plough End has always been the home end, that shouldn't need to happen. Something needs to be done with the final two stands though, although I can't see it. They want money generating stands from all four sides.

So the top three all won tonight by a combined 17 goals. Nuts.

8 fucking nil. We just looked like scoring everytime we went forward. Maidenhead play Stortford on Saturday while we go to Hampton, hopefully we can keep the pressure on as I can't see them losing.

Please do. Best away day of the season for us at Bath on Saturday, a game that could have huge playoff implications if Poole and Hungerford's grounds aren't sufficient to compete in the playoffs. We'll have a few extra tacked onto the away following with it being an international break too so an ever noisier (and tanked up) support.

Was looking on the Poole forum and they've confirmed they wont be taking part in the playoffs should they finish in a playoff place.

With the form we're on, I'm not sure you can look past us winning all of our games up until Maidenhead, with that being the decider. We genuinely look like a side. We haven't particularly had that since we came down. This squad can go places.

Having said that, Hampton away won't be easy. We need to win anyway.

I see Stortford have sacked their manager. Players to play their hearts out on Saturday? Doubt it, but you never know!

Yup, speaking to a few members of the Truro Independent Supporters Association down there a couple of weeks back, there was only one retailer interested in building on the site (sure it was Treyew Road and not Silver Bow). Consequently this may allow them to play at Treyew next season but in what league, who knows!?

Latest on the Truro situation -

Cannot see the National league approving this!

Troubled Truro City are set to move in with Bodmin Town next season, the club have confirmed.

Subject to FA and National League ratification, the White Tigers will switch their home fixtures to Priory Park from 2017-18.

Yesterday, Truro City chairman Peter Masters said the club’s future was under threat after proposals for a new ground were knocked back.

It was a dagger through their heart after years of investment and focus on the project.

A City statement today confirmed Bodmin is set to be their new base with the club being forced to leave Treyew next month.

“Truro City FC have agreed a mechanism in principle with Bodmin Town Football Club and The National League to ground share at Priory Park for next season, should the need arise.

To facilitate the move, Truro City will improve the facilities at Priory Park and upgrade the ground from its existing Grade G to Grade B to accommodate National League South football requirements.

The improvements to Bodmin Town will take place during the close season subject to final agreement between all parties.”

Nearer than they are to Torquay!
True!
Mind you, having had a look at Bodmin Town's ground on GoogleMaps, they will have to do a lot of work to achieve that Grade B ground rating. For a start, it looks like you can look into the ground from multiple points outside it!

You can from most of the grounds anyway! ;)

Blimey - St Albans won 1-0 against Dartford.

Goalie was excellent for them.

When somebody on the Fleet forum suggested Dartford would have a tough game, I basically told them to fuck off. Couldn't believe it when I see the score.

Ibrahim is a cracking goalkeeper at this level.

Late, undeserved, draw for us by all accounts, which I'll take. Maidenhead win, although I'm surprised it wasn't more comfortable. That will come back to bite them if we win all our remaining games...

No slip ups can be afforded, we simply have to win our remaining 6 games if we want to win the title.

Bath City 1-2 Wealdstone (Att: 1,006)

Just got in, as I said on Twitter this afternoon, Bath is quite comfortably the best away day in the league and one of the best away days in the country. I went to a few boozers pre-game and even enjoyed some real ale which is well outside of my comfort zone! Bud Light on tap in their Spoons for £2 was a pleasant surprise.

As for the game, we deserved to win even if the penalty was one which I'd be livid with had it gone the other way. Danny Green scored a stupendous goal after a piss poor corner to put us 1 up, but in fairness to Bath they did put pressure on us towards the end of the first half and scored in stoppage time from a scrappy free kick.

Second half was a total non-affair, penalty aside but Green did miss the target when through 1 on 1 which was frustrating to say the least.

Terrific day all round, players put a proper shift in and the supporters came out in force (numbering around 200), 5 of whom were in Dublin the night before. I did also commit to a night out in Bristol after the game but thought against it on reflection.

If (and a huge if) Poole and Hungerford's grounds aren't up to scratch then our destiny is in our own hands.

Good support that Aber, similar to what we took there I believe.

Hampton's last home crowd was 500 ish and they had just over 1,000 yesterday. Is it wrong to assume we had 500 there? 250-350 possibly more likely, although there could have been more I guess!
