Away at Doncaster tonight. Wijnaldum has travelled but not in starting XI or on bench. Also, Playing with one striker with Armstrong behind Mitrovic as a number 10. For all the talk of replacing Cisse I think we will continue with the lone striker this year.

Kicked off our tour of Germany today, by having our game against Ahlen cancelled due to the pitch being shit. It then got rearranged to be played at our training base. And if that wasn't good enough, it got abandoned at half time because it got dark and a thunderstorm rolled in!

Yep a 1-0 win against Benfica at Hillsborough, in what was a pretty boring friendly can't remember either keeper really being tested. Less changes during the game in this one too so maybe Carlos is set on his best team, crying out for a left back and a pacy winger though. Thought Marco Matias had a good game down the left as did Forestieri, took his goal very well too. Another 90 minutes under the players belts on a nice evening, we move onto our week in Portugal now.

Think Matias will be like a new signing this season, missed most of last season through injury but when he did play you could see he has lots of ability. He scored 17 goals in the Portuguese top flight before we signed him.

Know him indrectly. Portuguese guy I work with was childhood friends with Marco Matias. I used to know him before he came over to Sheff Wed, when he was scoring for fun in Portugal as you say. He came over to the UK every month or so for a trial, we even used to have a kick about in Warwick.

My mate was gutted when you lost the playoff final, Marco and Lucas were going to Cancun for 2 weeks if you went up and were offering to take him along for free.. providing you won
