As someone on our forum pointed out, its quite likely that they're wont be any non league clubs in round 3.

I'm just waiting for Alan Alger to point this out while claiming it shows the conference is "the weakest it's ever been". Even though Lincoln and Sutton reaching QF/R5 last season "had no relevance to the strength of the league".

Our replay at home to Peterborough has been moved to Wednesday for T.V. Nice £30 odd grand in the coffers.

Of course it’s the worst possible draw. It’s not even a legitimate

Hi E10 ~ Chester supporter wanting to know if there is any street parking near Brisbane Road. I'm driving down for match on 21st. I've always come down on supporters coach so would be grateful for any info. I'm staying in Ilford which is only about 7 miles away so would it be better for me to catch bus or get underground. Proper relegation 6 -pointer this. Last visit was when we won 1-0 in the Siege of the Alamo about 13 years ago. Good luck with your games before and after our fixture.

Street parking in East London is not a good option. Far better to get the train from Ilford to Stratford and then go one stop up the Central Line to Leyton.

parking query

Parking near the ground is a swearwording nightmare as they’ve introduced residents-only restrictions all around the stadium. If you absolutely have to drive, then I’d suggest plotting up in Langthorne Road, which is about 10 minutes from the ground.

Depends where in Ilford you’re staying, but either Central Line from Gants Hill or the aforementioned Ilford-Stratford-Leyton route is by far the most sensible option. Plus Orient is one of the best boozing trips around, so public transport is your friend in that regard as well.

Bury/Woking or Stanley/Guiseley would of been better choices than a bona fide Ryman League game....

I thought we were nailed on for TV! Means I have to go up to Bury on a Tuesday night now.. still at least it’s a new ground to add to the list.

Slough v Rochdale would have been one i'd have watched, brand new ground and one of the lowest teams in the football pyramid left in the competition plus they were our rivals for years until we joined The Football League in 1993 and they slid down several leagues.

Thanks E10. I'll be there all day so I'll look for Langthorne Road and park up early.

The pub at the end of Langthorne Road, The Birkbeck, is a proper East London backstreet boozer. Good jukebox and the best beer garden in the area by miles. Usually got a guest ale or two on. Just don’t drink the Rita’s Special (the house beer).

You can all look forward to Lord Cowley back on BT Sport tomorrow at the Billericay game with a bit of ex-Imp Sir Gareth Ainsworth.

You want him? Please relieve us of his bullshit where nothing is his fault even though he puts players out of their comfort zone putting a midfielder at right back while leaving a right back on the bench. :ffs:
