Not a great game today. Even a last minute equaliser couldn't brighten things up, though a draw was a fair result. Really need to change something if we have any playoff ambitions this season.

Chorley looked like Chorley always seem to - very well organised at the back, uninspiring going forward. Would happily take their number four off their hands, though the standing in front of the keeper when he's trying to line up his wall routine is proper naff.

See Southport are at least trying to stay up. They have signed striker Jason Gilchrist from FC United in a club record sale for FCUM

I think FCUM are doing their utmost to get relegated this season after losing their last decent player on the books, decent goalscorer knows where the net is.

Another miserable day at the office for the lads, I think a draw would have been a fair result for both clubs. But make mistakes and ye get punished in this league, one mistake cost us simple as that.

Very scrappy first half and for all the possession that we had overall during the game we didn't really look as tho we were ever gonna score, but then again should have scored towards the end of the match, we played some decent football throughout the game. I'd have to say Thommo was excellent today.

Our new signings looked fairly decent especially Trotman, he swung over some decent crosses in to the box, I thought Mills was much better in the first half.

Not sure why we didn't play Josh Heaton? I thought he had a decent game down at Kiddy.
I noticed Reece Styche stood on the balcony at the match I wonder what his thoughts were?

It may seem a good signing, but we started with FOUR strikers yesterday, and have sent another out to Ramsbottom. We're in desperate need of defenders (as others have rightly pointed out on here) - we don't have a natural right back at the club and our centre-halfs and left back aren't up to the standards required. I'm starting to think Kevin Davies doesn't know what he is doing.

In signing Gilchrist and Lowe all we have done is eased FCUM's financial pressures. These signings won't help us unless we get something much better in behind them, and quickly.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
FCUM my be reducing the ranks also because their new manager whoever it will be may want some additions, although i do think FCUM still now get stuck between wanting to push on and wanting to remain the type of club they originally wanted to be (cannot go higher without going more corporate and anti fan friendly) I have a feeling a few at FCUM may rather drop and float between Conf North and Evo stick.

Southport need players, their team is either extremely poor or else its very very low on confidence and am unsure which, but a win is needed to see that and they could not even beat NFU at home!!....so probably only other way is new players, but as Swede says their problems are more defence based it doesn't matter to them how good they are going forward if they will usually be 2 or 3-0 down before game even starts.

worried for us at Curzon we are now starting to drag ourselves along, although we did get a good point yesterday. struggling to win games now and odd injuries really hurt us.I know DSL didn't like the player but we really need Paul Marshall back in midfield....been injured weeks now, also seem now to have lost Ritchie Baker suddenly......one downfall of following a very small club is limited knowledge of when or how long people are out other than 'word of mouth' to the correct fans on terraces who have spoken to people who know people who talk to people etc, etc.

I saw BPA V Brackley yesterday. If BPA could finish the chances they create the game would have ended 7-0. Exactly the same problem we had at Guiseley when the same forward line played for us in the National league. Brackley created absolutely nothing in the whole ninety minutes, must have been an off day given their league position.

Sampson is a half-decent centre-forward who just seems to lack confidence in his finishing. Josh Hine runs about a lot. Both started as the central front 2 yesterday but it didn't work between them.

Out of interest, why do so many of BPAs Saturday home games kick off early?

Ok thanks, Hine was quality for us, just hope he can regain that form he had. Sampson started off well with us last year but tailed off to the end, certainly knows where the net is though, just needs confidence.

There are 3 things that are certain in life; death, taxes and Jon Parkin scoring against us. York fans how was the game? Seen a lot of praise from your fans on twitter towards us.

Same as last week. Slightly Fortunate to get the result. Without Parkin this season we'd be right in the shit! Absolute screamer of a free kick and our only decent effort on target. Good defensively but midfield anonymous at times with Newton continuing to be Bobbins this year after being excellent last.

Thought Kiddy were excellent with the ball. Good passing and support but missed a cutting edge in the final 3rd and a little belief. If you'd gone for it second half would have been a comfortable victory. Bartlett made a couple of decent saves in the first 20 mins. Kiddy 6 and 8 jackets ran the game with City chasing shadows. A little embarrassing for a home team supposed to be a big club!

I largely concur with this, although I'd say we were more than just slightly fortunate. We were poor throughout and could have had no complaints if we'd been well beaten. The only two players who had a decent game for us were Bartlett in goal and Parkin. Aidan Connolly did OK. Everyone else was varying degrees of woeful.

Kidderminster did all the things you'd want us to be doing, plenty of movement and pace and very easy on the eye. We just punted the thing over our non-existent midfield in the general direction of Parkin, who won loads of flick-ons but they never came to anything, and our total lack of movement stuck out like a sore thumb.

The York Press points out that without Parkin's goals we'd be in the bottom three, level on points with Nuneaton. It's not really good enough for a team supposed to be challenging for the title, is it?

Ahahaha, Joe Tait. Proper mouthy bell end, missed two penners, gave one away at the other end (and was involved in the other one given away as well), ahahaha.

Seriously though, how did $pend¥mor€ lose that 4-0?

Well, I wouldn't expect to come play for a part-time club on pittance. Of course he's gunna be a decent wage, why else would he leave?

To help us in our promotion quest hahaha.

Only a trouncing will do tonight. Should win by at least 3 goals. Time for us to step up and get some results otherwise fans will be turning on Eustace.

Well 4-0 up at HT. :)

The worst team I have seen for a very long time. We've also had a goal disallowed. They don't seem to be able to defend or attack. They only have 1 tactic which is hoof to their pacey right back but our right mid turned left back has had him in his back pocket all game.

They set up to not concede anymore in the second half, moved to a 5 at the back while we were happy to just control the game and not concede. Brandon Hall only made 1 save and that was from a 30-yard strike. 1 place outside the playoffs with a game in hand....unfortunately that is Harrogate.

Styche: Trotman: Mills: and not forgetting Tommy Wright. Anymore from this neck of the woods and we'll be needing a mini bus.
