2017/18 season - August predictions

With the season just a week away, how do you think your club will fare in the opening month of the season?

For Bury I predict:

Walsall (H) - L
Sunderland (H) (LC) - L
Wigan (A) - L
Bristol Rovers (H) - D
Rochdale (A) - L

One point for us sees us around the bottom of the table. We've had a shite pre season and Lee Clark doesn't strike me as a good manager. Add in the shambles off the field and it's a recipe for disaster.

Don't think it's the hardest start we could've had but it's tricky. From what I understand, Doncaster have a few key injury issues and I think we can take advantage of that to open up. We have a pretty good record over the last few years against Bradford but it's usually relatively tight between us, MK I think will go very well this year and will probably have too much for us, and Southend will probably be another tight affair. Cup game I'm not too fussed about, but we did have a fun run in it last season so who knows.

You were buzzing just over a week ago - what's happened so drastically that you've now had a complete 180?

We're always very slow in getting started, most of our players don't "turn up" during the first few weeks of a new season - I'll be satisfied with a point!
