Watching this as a genuine neutral but jesus they might as well have had Mike Dean reffing it from the Tranmere end! Shame both semi finals have been largely decided by refereeing decisions

Reporter doesn't even know the player's names. Thinks he's talking to Oliver Norwood.

WEMBERLEEEEE! A silly mistake by Scotty aside, I thought we saw that out calmly and professionally, and were in control even before the sending off. Very proud of the lads whatever happens at Wembley.

All the best Forest Green, and see you soon Newport.

Better team won. Well played Tranmere, sob,

Too physical for us, plus we could really do with a midfield and forward line.

Still looking forward to next season, as ever add a few more HOPEFULLS swa swa

Do you think they would have ran on the pitch at Mansfield or Newport?

Well done Tranmere though, even final that’s not going to be pretty but you could argue you have the edge due to Norwood.

FGR let down by Mad Gav and a poor decision tonight so never really had a chance there, great first season for Tranmere back in the EFL.

Highlight of the ties though is probably Mike Dean having a mental on the terraces!

Really professional performance tonight, as we have come to expect from Mellon's teams. Proud of their efforts. I don't think FGR were ever really in the tie, regardless of refereeing decisions.

A Scott Davies error aside we dominated both games let’s be real.

Think the sending-off was harsh and a game changer, but Winchester had his card marked by frequently getting in the referee's face. Rovers managed the game well after Norwood had got us back into it.

Not impressed with the behaviour of a handful of our idiots at the end of the game.

Commiserations to Forest Green you'll be there or thereabouts again next season. God knows how we'll fare against cup specialists Newport.

What a poor advert for L2. Tranmere easily the better side, FGR just didn't look like they were too bothered about being a goal down. None of their players were at the races today.

I thought it was another poor game too, and definitely not one we did enough to win, so fair play Tranmere. Mind, that was a lot of thr bog standard shithousery from you that was crime of the century when we did it :D Great finish from Norwood, one of the few bits of quality.

Unreal, get in there! I've changed my mind about pitch invasions, they're underrated! Haven't seen the red back, so can't comment, but I'll consider it as karma. Who'd have predicted a Newport V Tranmere play off final at the start of the season, can barely believe it.

Didn't get a very good view of the sending off but like Gav's he's certainly given the ref the option.

Christ do you ever get even slightly off the fence.

I think you need to take another look at Norwoods hand pushing Winchester over! Does that really warrant a second yellow.

That being said Tranmere were good tonight, very good.

As for those Tranmere knuckle draggers at the end, the less said the better!

Bet we didn't steal your water bottles though!

The second yellow was harsh, but he got in the ref's face a few times before that and probably had his cards marked. I don't think it drastically altered the way the game was going, but who knows?

I'm sure you'll continue to contend at the right end of the table next year.

Commiserations to all at FGR, I know the feeling of getting knocked out of the play offs all too well. Don’t worry though as you’ll be back challenging again next season. I Just hope we won’t be playing you that’s all.

Que sera sera.
