I hear your story is right but I have it on good authority Lowe was let go because we had someone else lined up...Liam Daly. That ended in disaster. Lowe definitely wanted to stay regardless of Tunnicliffe - it was the clubs fault.
It all comes from the top as far as I am concerned and I have no excitement in this season or the last two. I've been a regular follower home and away in recent years, even did the whole lot for a couple of seasons, and the club is and continuing to lose the faith of its supporters. Poor decisions are increasingly frequent, and increasingly wrong. The tide needs to turn and Gordon is not the man to do it. He's had enough chances to prove us wrong - it hasn't. We should now be reaping the rewards of his vision, or atleast showing progression. There is none. We've regressed every single season - the table doesn't lie.
Think they'll be a change soon anyway.
We should have prioritised a keeper first, to lose an influential player like Hall with seemingly 1 target is shortsighted. I think we are going to have a problem there this season.
Johnson is the worst centre-half we've had in years. His distribution is piss poor, and his first touch, well I won't comment on that. Saturday showed that against Bromsgrove. I agree Horsfall had a dip in form last season, and the time was probably right for him to move along, but he's gone to a Football League club. Moyo, as much as it looks like a good signing, probably won't be playing anywhere higher anytime soon. This is his level.
Jury is out on Davidson, looks a bit lightweight to me, but is exciting so will judge the current crop after a few games. I think after watching this level for a while, that players in that mould struggle against much more physical sides, who tend to be successful. Seen that in Weeks, just not a player who'd get you out this division in my opinion.
Only player who offers some excitement is White and he's only played a couple of times and of course Williams.
I'm only talking about relegation because our form after the Stourbridge game was shocking, and to me, I don't think we've improved at all, and even if we do make swift signings, we'll be playing catchup come 3rd August. Pemberton certainly has a job on his hands.
