I've been trying to follow what's happening with Kettering, but their website and social media accounts are awful and giving news. Don't know if they're in trouble or their striker that left was an anomaly.

A couple of players have left due to a 'payment' issue but six or seven have signed back on for the coming season. Hopefully not in trouble but just a glitch!!

Strange one, this. Unless I haven`t noticed Telford going fulltime, or their budget is mega £££, I`m surprised Kevin Wilkin didn`t move for Williams. He gets most things right (Gregg Smith excepted), and Williams is exactly what Brackley need (alongside a centre back - Oran Jackson anyone?). Maybe there was a fall out when he quit for Harrogate? Anyway, Telford`s rebuild with our Trophy winning side will make them a very interesting proposition this season. My gut feel is that Wilkin has one more season to make promotion finally happen before the side will start to break up for age or ambition reasons. Interesting year ahead!

Telford I've been told have a good budget this year. Plus as he's based in the West Midlands, and Telford represent a bigger club, fan base and proper stadium... On the other hand Brackley feel just a couple of steps away from possible promotion and he could of been the 'missing link', where as I'm not sure how far Telford are from having a promotion challenging team. I don't think there was any fallout when he left - always knew he wanted full time football. Agree about the 'one more season' - am feeling a bit gloomy that we've signed no-one and will be relying on the same set of players who have fallen just a bit short in the last 3 years. having Carl Baker there all season will help - but we really need a goal scorer.

Alty have lost James Poole, he is moving to Australia in his job scouting for Man City, pity as he is a superb player,.. but missed virtually all of last season with injury, but now fit.

But then, Alty paid an undisclosed fee to sign midfielder Conor Branson from BPA who was a key player for them last year I'm told. Thoughts anyone ?

First time in ages we paid a fee for a player.

Dan Holman signed for Brackley, leaving Kettering. Think that is both of Kettering's top scorers from last season that have now left?

James Jones signs for us on a season long loan from Salford with no recall option. We sold him to them this time last year and he's just made a handful of appearances.

Needed some younger legs at centre back and we know what he can do. Defence sorted.

Yes that's two of our top scorers gone, still have Aaron O'Connor though. Hopefully they will be replaced soon along with the three or four defenders who have also gone!!!

We've re-signed defender Jordan Watson from guess who? Blyth :ohy:
He previously played for us under Martin Gray during the 2016/17 National League North season. He only made 10 appearances before moving back to Blyth in February 2017.

I liked Jordan Watson in his short stay with us i don't really think he was given an opportunity to develop under Martin Gray.

In-demand midfielder Dan Ward has joined Spennymoor Town following the expiration of his contract at Middlesbrough.

23-year-old Midfielder Jake Hibbs has been placed on the transfer list for Spennymoor Town.
Hibbs started two of Spennymoor's three play-off fixtures, playing in midfield at Brackley Town and Chorley.

He finished his first season with BPA with twelve goals and was named as the club's Manager's Player of the Year. Looks a decent recruit very highly-rated.

Think they must be splashing the cash.
Played 37 times for Flyde last season and scored 7 goals is hardly a squad player.

He was surplus to requirements, especially with the new players coming in. Personally, in the games over the last few seasons, he doesn't look a patch on his former self, and according to our manager, we decided against signing him.

For what it's worth, he'll be very good in the conference north, and is a good captain/leader.

Hawkins hasn’t signed for anyone yet I don’t think, Magnay is past his best, might be alright in this league but often injured, supposedly signing for Spennymoor, Conor Newton was a big earner at Pools and a bigger disappointment.

Darlo have signed goalkeeper Chris Elliott from Spendymore. He was their number 2 last season, and in the previous season he played for Alfreton - looking at the Alfreton official website he made 39 appearances for them in 2017/18

DSL, any good?

Darlo also expect to complete the signing of forward Adam Campbell from Morecambe, as well as a player on loan from a championship club.

Good signing that. I was dissapointed we let Chris go. Solid keeper. Good shot stopper. Weak on crosses but a very capable pair of hands

Hmmm, sounds reasonable enough. Apart from the weak on crosses bit.

I wondered where Holman had disappeared to, surely too good for that level. Wilkin signing him is odd though. He took him on loan here and hardly played him and on the rare occasion he did, it was out of position.
