Fylde or Solihull will win the league, Chesterfield are a much better side now under Sheridan who appears to have adapted to this league, but they lack a prolific striker.

Very, very unsure about Notts C and Yeovil, the first year in this league can be a bit of an eye opener at times with the way your team reacts to certain ways certain teams play.

Barrow were very good under Evatt last season, Dagenham have an ok squad overall but Peter Taylor IMO isn't the man to get you out of this league.

Can't see brother Hartlepool breaking the top 7 sadly.

Can see a long hard season for Woking who only have 16 players it seems, as well as Halifax.

#barracelona was the twitter tag from several games last season, although i'm not sure if it was me or someone else who pointed it out. Our strength in depth and starting line up is far better this season - so who knows how high we can/will finish - I have cursed Fylde by saying you'll win it though - I think i tipped Aldershot last year and look how well they did...

Your optimism is admirable chipmunx. Definitely a glass half full type of guy. Was you the Barrow fan stating you were playing like barca early on last season? That and now putting yourselves finishing 3rd has cheered me up no end this morning, so thanks for that

Oh dear! :fl:

It's time to acknowlege certain truths about Wrexham. Since they arrived here some 10 years ago, there's been a tendency, indulged and encouraged by some of their own, to talk about them as though they have a certain glamour, as though they're a slumbering giant fallen on hard times and will soon be on their way back to where they belong. Well, 10 years on they're as much at home here as any of us.

So, let's look at some facts- glamour? Well they did have the odd run in the Cup Winners Cup, and they did beat FC Porto that time (and all credit to them for that). But how did they get into Europe, as a Third Division club? English sides had to win the FA Cup to get in, so no plausible entry that way for the likes of Halifax Town, Chesterfield, Stockport etc. Well, Wrexham had to win the Welsh Cup, which amounted little more than an English County Cup: Cardiff (Div 2) Swansea (Div 3/4), Newport (Div 3/4) plus an assortment of tiny Welsh non league sides. Less real competition there than we had in the West Riding Cup (Leeds, Huddersfield, Bradford), which we won once or twice ourselves.

How about the League? Well, sure they got to Div 2 for a couple of seasons but spent most of their history bumping along with ourselves, Rochdale, Stockport, Hartlepool et al. A reality borne out by the fact that we have played only Rochdale more times than we've played Wrexham.

So, please , let's stop the charade, the pretence. :ds:
