I mean no disrespect to all sheffield fans, but you guys don't spend enough to compete in Premier League.

all the expert and youtube commentator predict sheffield to go down.

Staying up isn't just about spending money, though. You think people would have realised that after Fulham last season, but evidently not.

no of course not, but when you have Championship level squad going up to premier league, you need reinforcement.

Was always going to be incredibly tough for us tonight against the champions of Europe, but by all accounts we played really well second half after a disastrous first half.

Our season won't be defined by getting thrashed at Anfield, as that's a position most teams are likely to find themselves in at some point this season. Even more so considering we were missing key defensive players and had to resort to Grant Hanley - who definitively proved that he is not Prem quality tonight - to fill the gap.

I personally thought you were the better team in the first 30 minutes and yet you were 3-0 down, the difference was the speed and clinical finishing up top. Was impressed with you though last night and as you say it's not a game you want first up.

no you don't, you need momentum and a good coach, Wolves did fine with practically their core Championship team , so did Bournemouth and Brighton originally

the worst thing you can do is dismantle a promotion winning team and buy in strangers to the team that have no time to gel

fuck me a Spurs fan from Singapore, guessing you really liked Klinsmann ?

I'm more concerned about the fact he can't tell the difference between Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United.

Thought you played well in all honesty, especially Mings and Engels at the back. Just the relentless pressure from Spurs finally paid off.
Yes, I thought they were very good together . Our whole back four played well including Heaton. It was our midfield that let us down. They gave no protection to the back four at all , and it cost us.

Good win for Norwich - knvies will be out for Bruce already!

Probably be the season we go down - our sort of team usually does at some point.

Delighted to see Pukki taking to the Premier League so well already. What a volley for the first goal, and crazy to think he cost us nothing while Newcastle spent £40 million on that carthorse Joelinton.

And to think that moron Lawrenson said he wouldn't even get ten goals this season. Well, that's four down already.

Had 1 taken away from Brighton today. All in all, rather have the right call than not. Makes every goal a little more meaningful.

Happy for him that hes started so well, good to see players moving up a level and instantly performing. I dont think you will have problems scoring or creating chances as you proved at anfield but I think you'll concede a hell of a lot and that might cost you. Good 3 points though

In that case think the new handball rule like with the Wolves goal last week was more to blame .

Hardly deliberate..

Yeah I think it's just a bit too particular, these goals are being ruled out by being microscopically examined, almost like they want a reason to rule it out. Footballs worked fine for over 100 years and now they think it needs playing with, all emotion is going to come out of the game when scoring a goal, you just half expect each one to be ruled out.

Goaline technology was the best thing invented for football, they should have just left it at that. Minor offside decisions and accidental handball ruling goals out is a joke. It's an extremely emotional sport it's not like cricket, rugby and tennis where the technology is good for the game.

Genuinely looking forward to the match later on, fear the worst with zaha ripping baldock apart but other than that I think were capable of getting something out the game. Still a few hundred tickets left which is disappointing to not sell out first home game but hopefully there should be a good atmosphere for once. Utb
