From playing the Champions League winners in game 1 to playing the Europa League winners today. Not at all going to be easy against Chelsea, but they're nowhere near the force they once were, especially with Lampard in charge and Kante reportedly out injured today.

I fancy us to at least get a point here, but no doubt it'll be a high-scoring draw if that's what happens.

Not far off, your attacking style is good to see but I think it might cost you. Very tough start though and 6 goals scored and 3 points is a positive.

Their defence will keep City in a relegation dogfight this season. Just got to hope for more stability when Zimmerman or Klose return. Perhaps Tettey or Amadou anchoring the midfield might help. Just far too easy to create against at the moment. A result of the way they play as well, sure, but there has to be balance. Difficult though, can't do anything to sacrifice goal-threat - it's their only hope of survival.

Guess we shouldn't judge too harshly yet. Playing Champions League winners, Europa League winners and Premier League champions in first five fixtures would be a tough ask of anyone, let alone a team largely made up of Championship players.

We were awful yesterday, but it's to be expected with 3 games in 7 days. Don't normally criticize Nuno but he got his team selection very wrong yesterday. Doherty is well out of his depth since he isn't match fit, should be nowhere near starting games especially since Traore has been brilliant in his place. Jota was fucked against Torino and could hardly walk, so why was he starting ahead of Cutrone? Must be thinking why he swapped Milan's bench for ours.

Another big week coming up with Torino and Everton. Can't believe I'm moaning (it's what Wolves fans do best) but I can't help but think we got our recruitment wrong in the summer. 2 kids from Lazio (one who is for the under 23's), a CB from Real Madrid who isn't ready for PL football according to our manager and Cutrone who we spent around £20m on who must be thinking what does he need to do to start.

You shouldn't need to make wholesale changes to play Sunday-Thursday-Sunday, and neither should you want to given the squad you've already got has done so well. But with the increase in workload you need an extra four or five bodies who won't look out of place when they come into the side. Playing the same XI every game is just unrealistic.

If memory serves me right Burnley brought in Joe Hart, Ben Gibson and Matej Vydra the summer after qualifying for the Europa League. No wonder they struggled last season.

As a wolves fan though surely you are wanting to prioritise the europa league over the premier league, I'd be rotating players for league matches.

I'd definitely take a lower placed Premier League finish for a good run in Europe. Every team that plays in it seems to suffer league wise, especially the one that qualifies in 7th or via cup win. With the squad they've got there's no reason they can't get to a quarter final or beyond, watch them not make the group stages now.

As much as it pains me to say it, I agree with blademan89, Europa League has to be your priority this season. The Torino games are actually tougher than what you'll face in the groups. Get through this tie and you'll be able to play weakened teams in Europe and still qualify for the last 32 easily enough. From there you are 4 ties and 8 matches away from the final and a shot at a Champions League place. Arsenal and Man Utd are the toughest teams in the competition so why not go out and try and win the thing?

The performance of Newcastle against Norwich was shameful.
The performance against Tottenham was great defensively, and the idea to have Joelinton causing problems on his own up front bafflingly worked.
But it's the whining and petulance of the Southern media and Kane of Tottenham over a blatantly NOT penalty that amazes us. These are the same tossers who said nothing after VAR gave them an undeserved point at Man City. If it was a nailed on penalty, which it clearly wasn't. It would be evens up for the ridiculous Man City disallowed.
But anyone not a ludicrously biased halfwit (which is essentially London football media) or a player who's plan to throw himself to the ground to con the ref didn't work because Lascelles had already fallen and hadn't touched him could see it wasn't. The so-called commentators rewriting the football rule book to try and back up Kane was beyond belief.
AR needs tidying up, no doubt. The Wolves pen didn't look a pen but wasn't interested enough to study it. But on VAR - you'll get ridiculous whining from the likes of Kane even more.

Its like I told umpteen Norwich fans on YouTube after the disgusting performance by Newcastle against you - don't celebrate beating a team so clueless and disorganized as Newcastle on that day - You can't expect Norwich to play a Newcastle every week. Liverpool took their foot off at half time against you, and despite being down in the dumps and in a bit of turmoil themselves Chelsea beat Norwich while still in a state of flux. Pukki has started brilliantly, but WILL be sorted out quickly.

Re the Grealish incident - referees for a few years now have been booking players for simulation when they clearly haven't dived.

Surely you need to be 110% sure that a player has dived to book someone... you're labelling them as a cheat for a start. It shouldn't be just guesswork.

What a surprise .

VAR has been implemented poorly in the PL - basically checking for potential offsides in the build ups to goals. I'm not even sure some of the marginal offside calls have been correct but even if you accept they are, there have been 7 or 8 blatant "clear and obvious" penalties not awarded and a couple of stonewall red cards ignored too.

I get they don't want to undermine the on field referees but the need to appease the officials can't be put ahead of the making the correct decision.

Not just for tomorrow, but in general with the amount of injuries we have currently: no fully fit centre backs, Krul with a knock, Aarons injured, Leitner injured, Trybull injured and Hernandez injured. We're going to be lucky not to concede in double figures against Man City tomorrow with all of this. And I say we're doomed overall because we had next to no squad depth as it was, and now we have none whatsoever. It'll be an absolute miracle if we can get out of the bottom 3 at all this season now.
