Fucking newbies like Luton coming up here and complaining about the level of chat.

I hope Fleetwood twat them 6-0 and they get sent back to the hellhole from where they came.
Nice of you to think of us, be quite happy with a scabby 1-0 win, Mr Barton has got us playing some good footie at the moment be nice to get one over on the Black Cats tomorrow !

We did think we'd walk back up. Almost all of us. I admit it. So would you if you had a L1 squad and budget that had been relegated due to off field deductions not crap performances.

Sadly our players did too and it was a really hard mentality and place to get out of. I think we all - as in the whole club - realised it was a good lesson in humility.

Perhaps its now some of you are the ones that are short sighted and just looking at our past rather than how we are now. We are excited to be back and finally have the chance to look up not down. We do believe we can go further. We have a great set up, top to bottom, and a loyal following that's been through a lot that has galvanised us and we're coming out the other side.

We're proud, we're loud at times and there's a few of us....... Hopfully were a little more humble than before.

Playing AFCW tomorrow, if we persist with the silly 4-2-4 formation I think we'll be lucky to draw, if we go for something more conventional then id be more optimistic. Big Barry Fuller likely to start, so that should be nice.

Do you still have Cody MacDonald or have you rolled him down a big hill and left him there?

Luton fans could try posting about things that aren't Luton.

I think everyone slept on Fleetwood a bit because of last season. It seemed a massive disappointment given some of your players. Absolutely ridiculous options in attack.

Sunderland really didn't like Holmes and Browne running at them. I could see Fleetwood having some joy if they're bold.

No-one in this league likes Holmes running at them.

Still 100% convinced that he is the best player in this division. Will take someone special to make me think otherwise.

No one really knows what happened with Cody.. however he was last seen playing cricket for some small Essex town. As for the game we are a decent side who can't score so if you get more than one goal you will probably beat us.

I've been really impressed so far, but saw him play against us enough times to know a bit about what we were getting. I'm not sure what full fitness looks like for him at this stage though.

The real question is whether he was the best player in league two in 2016. And any Northampton fan will tell you he wasn't.

Bloody 4-2-4.

Last week highlighted how rubbish it is as a system, as the momentum of the game literally flicked sides once Rees came on and we went 4-3-3 like we should be. Could've nicked a point in the end, but didn't really deserve it thanks to the first hour.

We don't ever seem to beat AFC, especially at home. Remember tossing away 2 goal leads twice at home to them in recent-ish years in particular. If I've got my maths right there's 5 players who've played for both who should be playing tomorrow - Fuller, Oshilaja, Pigott, Barcham and Wagstaff, so not a whole load of surprises in store for either side really. Parrett could make it 6 but I think he's still injured.

I just want to see us playing with a midfield to be honest, that'll give us half a chance.

I do hope so. No team knows his weaknesses better than us, and there are plenty of them.

I heard a story the other day that I'm not going to repeat on here in case m'learned friends are looking in, but we allegedly parted company over something that didn't involve football or excessive weight.

We play Rochdale at home today.

Stuart McCall's first home league game in charge, hopefully that plays a part. We looked awful in his first game last week but he'd only been here a few days. Hopefully he can stamp his mark on us today.

Usually I wouldn't be that optimistic considering our team this year but new manager might give us a bit of a bounce. 2-1 to us today.

Holmes is an outstanding league one player, his problem is he likes a dive and his back is screwed. If he didnt have his injury issues he's a good championship player. Defenders don't like pace and at the moment Lowe and Ronan Curtis are running riot. Both will be in the championship next season for either alot of money or promoted with us - hoping for the latter obviously

Gonna be an interesting one at Southend. Will both managers be able to stay in the dugout. Evans and Powell will no doubt have a bit of pushing and shoving

Comfortable home victory in SE7 today.

3-0 Charlton is my guess.

Just seen that due to an international break loophole that you can stream games on ifollow in the UK for £10 today, in the same way you can on a Tuesday evening.

You’re welcome.

0-0 at Bristol Rovers half time. One of the poorest third division games I’ve ever witnessed.

We’re both pants.

Plymouth lucky to get a point today - their keeper saved them there

Referee had an absolute stinker - how Carey didn’t get a straight red I’ll never know

Typical of our season so far... Playing well but the ball won't go in the net.
Always a cliché but next goal is crucial.

Sickener of a late pen. 4th game on a row we've given away a penalty.
Should never dismiss a point at Pompey but does feel a defeat.

When your luck is out it is out, conceded two deflected goals to draw 3-3.

We didn’t deserve to win so no complaints though. Rochdale were miles ahead of us, were absolutely doomed.

With my Shrewsbury spectacles that draw feels like a defeat and Portsmouth got away with a draw thanks to another soft penalty against us , galling after the clear cut pen we didn't get as well earlier.

Bit miffed our results seem to be decided by officials at the moment.

You do wonder where the win is coming from?

If shrews had a player who could score they'd piss this league. Overran us first half, we had the 2nd half, but Shrewsbury stayed resolute. Gifted them a goal, but managed to grab a point. Ref has a shocker, how beckles was able to hop skip jump 20 yards up to pitch on a throw in every time. Point gained and we have curtis back next week and hopefully Jack Whatmough.

We’re on our way!

Nah, we got away with one today. Decided to give that ifollow a crack for the first time, few connection issues in the second half but generally, pretty good.

Wycombe will feel hard done by today. We were poor for the most part but for once were just clinical when our few chances came. Whilst Wycombe rarely threatened our goal either they certainly zipped it around quite nicely. A lot more so than I would expect from a side with Akinfenwa in it anyway.

Think Wycombe’s strength ended up being their downfall. Played a high line in the first half and pressed and pressed and pressed. Ultimately they began to tire in the second half which allowed us a little spell where we scored twice. Think they were worth at least a point today.

Whilst generally quite poor, Lyle Taylor was exceptional. As a freebie, he’s beginning to look one of the signings of the season. Reeves and Lapslie were excellent when they came on too.

Pleased with the win but we must improve.

Don’t think there was anything soft about the penalty, or the absolute bear hug on Pitman that wasn’t given about 10 minutes prior. Or the challenge from Clarke on one of yours, to be fair. I guess the ref was terrified of giving a pen.

We were pretty poor today, there was a very sedate feeling in both the crowd and the players. Seemed like Shrewsbury had a game plan they executed perfectly and completely stifled us, they’re probably the pick of the teams we’ve had down here, considering how successful they were in shutting us down for large parts of the game. Surely you’re gonna pick up a win at some point soon!

Good but fortunate to get a point in summary. On to Peterborough which will be a huge clue into whether we’re actually gonna be sticking around with the top dogs. We should have super Curtis back though!

Sounds like we missed a couple of excellent chances to kill the game at 1-0 but overall probably a fair result, and fair play to Walsall who are the first side to really test us this season. Frustrating to concede late on but not too disappointed with the result.

We were appalling today. Wimbledon have been playing the same way for 30 years so there shouldn't be any surprises, so to set up to just allow ourselves to play right into their hands is ridiculous. They go direct early and play off second balls, and they're good at it. Defensively they love aerial battles but not so clever on the floor, which we rarely tried. We're missing a few at the moment, yes, but technically and tactically we're just not up to scratch.

Oh, and Bradley Garmston has worn my patience too thin now. Useless fucker.

Lots of wailing and gnashing of teeth on our forum about our complete inability to defend from set pieces. And Wilbraham's miss late on, which stopped us getting a thoroughly undeserved and unlikely win...
