Point in case, last season, Posh were 14/1 to be L1's top scorers, which was crazy (4/1 this season).

Im genuinely annoyed at myself for missing that.

WHY was I not informed of this before.

They're very optimistic with us, and with Oldham, as both clubs have been widely tipped for a relegation battle.

Just listening to it now, right off the bat, they put Southend bottom.

You have little to no knowledge of most the players in our squad, but okay...

I thought Oldham looked quite decent against us in our recent friendly. We had lots of the ball and didn’t deserve to lose but Oldham took a couple of chances and won 2-1 against us. I don’t see them as relegation candidates IMO.

Yeah - I went on the rundown at the end. Have edited.

I've noticed Ali Maxwell seems to make these sorts of little mistakes quite often. When they were previewing the playoffs, he kept referring to the Northampton-Cheltenham game going on first, when it was Col U-Exeter.

Very true, but i have noted that you recruitment this pre season has been limited
We've signed 10 or 11 players now I think. The majority of them are loans from higher up or completely unproven from non-league. I'm happy with the established pros we've brought in though in Williams, Mohsni and Rose.

Mirrored us last season. We basically brought a full team on deadline day. We started on -12 and we then lost a few games 5-0. We have once again started with a new squad and we will need time to gel. We have played six pre season games and are still a work in progress. Grimsby will struggle early doors.

Only a couple of weeks ago you were saying that Bolton would be the best prepared team in the league - something happened to dent your confidence? Like actually seeing the players you've signed?

Fair point
Think we are not quite down the road as i first thought.
Watch our goal on Saturday against Bradford from the restart, and that alone gives me encouragement from this team.
Defence we certainly are not there and that creative spark in midfield is missing.
The team will improve and i certainly do not see anything but promotion as acceptable.

Half of them have been here about three weeks and we've chosen to do things this way as a precautionary measure, as opposed to you lot who were a total financial mess this time last season so not really a mirroring. We'd have been struggling early doors anyway, we've got the hardest opening five or six fixtures out of pretty much everyone.

Nobody can say they have the hardest opening fixtures. New squads throughout the league

Hahahaha of course you can. You do know you don't have to argue with every fucking single post on here, right? Look at the fixtures it's clear as day that our start is harder than most. FGR also have a tough one, and I think there was someone else in contention for most difficult too, but it's one of three certainly.

I was all set to do my table this week, I was going to have us mid table. But I’m now thinking that’s far too optimistic after what I’ve seen in our first 2 games.

Im hoping beech can turn things around and get us to that mid table promised land, but at the moment we have a butter finger goalkeeper, a defence that don’t mark and play a high zig zag line, a midfield that doesn’t tackle or create anything and an attack that is absolutely ravaged with injuries and doesn’t look like they could score in 90 days let alone 90 minutes.

It’s not looking good at the minute. I’ll submit mine before the weekend, just need to have a good rethink about whether I’ve been a bit premature in thinking mid table for Carlisle United.

Bolton have lost as many matches in a fortnight that Barrow have lost since September. Evatt must be regretting his decision to move.

To be fair a lot of people think he supports Peterborough, I forget myself at times. He's only got himself to blame for that.
He's on the correct forum for the team he supports.

You're really not very bright are you?
Maybe a name change is in order......He supports Grimsby so i have no qualms about him saying they will finish above us
