Now we know the teams I'll change my prediction and opt for:

OK I am going in!

1.Tranmere Rovers
2.Bolton
3.Salford City
4.Port Vale
5.Exeter City
6.Mansfield Town
7.Bradford
8.Cheltenham
9.Colchester
10.Walsall
11.Forest Green
12.Grimsby
13.Crawley
14.Carlisle
15.Scunthorpe United
16.Newport County
17.Morecambe
18.Leyton Orient
19.Stevenage
20.Cambridge
21.Harrogate Town
22.Barrow
23.Oldham Athletic
24.Southend United

Tranmere have recruited well and heavily invested so expect them to go well, Bolton will turn it around after a slow start to finish 2nd and Salfords financial might will finally tell as they celebrate promotion in front of 200 fans at their socially distanced Moor Lane.

Vale's improvement continues as we make the play offs, whilst Exeter again make the end of season lottery, Mansfield improve and Bradford scrape in.

At the bottom end Southend's woes continue as the two basket cases drop down but respectable survivial for Barrow and Harrogate all be it tough going. Stevenage improve and sadly dont see justice done whilst Morecambe's relatively impressive recruitment see's them have a rare season of relative comfort.

Not too sure about your top 3, but I do agree that who ever finishes above Vale will be promoted!

Most are predicting it and we are strongly fancied but that in itself makes me uneasy regardless of the great strides made last season on the previous too and our form in 2020 (what 10 weeks we had of it!)...

We probably are a good striker short of the auto's unless Cullen stays fit which is unlikely!

***first draft***

1. Exeter
2. Salford
3. Tranmere
--------------------------------
4. Port Vale (play off winners)
5. Bolton
6. Leyton Orient
7. FGR
--------------------------------
8. Mansfield
9. Bradford
10. Cheltenham
11. Walsall
12. Col U
13. Crawley
14. Carlisle
15. Grimsby
16. Newport

21. Scunthorpe
22. Barnet

23. Cambridge
24. Macclesfield

I think I better start thinking about my second draft. Barnet didn't come up and I think Harrogate are a much better side than the bees and they'll finish higher than 22nd. Then of course there's Boro rather than Macc and I'm sure the chavs won't be anywhere near the bottom come the end of the season. And the U's won't be going down: not with the signing of the new Danny Mayor (Hoolahan).

Lot of people putting us top 7 but I'm not so sure. Currently have nowhere near enough goals in the side so will be heavily dependent on the Vaughan replacement. Also, if we have any injuries in the middle of the park, we'll be down to the bare bones and given that's been our weakness for the past few years, we could be in trouble.

But right now my top 7 would be:

1. Cheltenham
2. Bolton
3. FGR
4. Exeter
5. Mansfield
6. Grimsby
7. Tranmere

I'd put Tranmere higher because they've made some good signings, but not entirely sure on the manager.

Absolutely no appealing outrights or promotions. Bookies have even less idea than us. I think you're looking at Cheltenham and Vale to go up at 3s as the best bets maybe?

I'd just like to point out vale havent won a league since 1954.

What a side that was!

Oddly I believe the side which got the most points in a season actually didn’t get promoted! 89 points in the third tier in 93 when we lost the play off final... year later went up auto with a point less and got 11 less in our last promotion in 2013!

Nice to see us in top 6/7 favs this year for once. Hope we live up to it.

Ah 1993, us Stoke and West Brom going up, Stoke fans celebrating Vale's failed promotion at our place and then getting hammered after the match. Couple of lads i know are Vale lads, we laugh about that season now, think stoke did the double over you lot but the N40 got a bit of a battering at your place that season

Aye though we did beat them twice in the cups that season. The loss to them at VP was fair enough but the one at the Victoria Ground was a lot more controversial with Stein going down very easily to get the penalty that won them that game. He’s been hated ever since.

If memory serves it was only a late winner on the final day for Bolton in the end that got you promoted. Good times though.

It’s an entirely new squad, assembled mostly from non-league. I think playoffs is quite a reasonable prediction. Sorry I’m not jumping on your kiddy bandwagon of expecting 10-0 victories every week and a statue of Ian Evatt with a massive erection that you can go and polish on the town hall steps.
