Apologies, can’t seem to find a thread pre-season.

Decent run out today for ourselves it seems, beat Bamber Bridge 7-0.

Not sure when our next friendly is or who it’ll be against.

We’ve got Fleetwood, Blackpool and Rochdale at some point.

Doyle on the scoresheet in both pre season games. Granted not the strongest teams but 10 goals scored and two clean sheets bares well for the season.

I would'nt read much into a Pre-season friendly. Basically they're all about getting the players fit.

Haven't a clue if we have any friendlies arranged but we have agreed to extend our sponsorship agreement with Oatly, our official milk partner, and that sounds pretty friendly to me!

How many tugs did you have over these results? 1 per win? 1 per goal?

Ian “Guardiola” Evatt must be over the moon. Bolton Champions guaranteed.

A little snippet of information...Today is the first time we have won 7-0 since we beat a certain Swindon Town in 1997
Who is Doyles replacement ?

I was there for that! And when that cheating fuckwit Wanker John McGinley denied us our 2nd League Cup Final.

Anyway, I digress. Tyler Smith who we got from Sheffield United scored 4. Although, tbh, I’d think he’s more a Yates replacement.

I see you have mellowed in time...Tyler Smith will do well for you but he is only on loan.
Certainly capable of getting around 15 goals this season.

Hope you enjoyed last season when you bullied our kids....not happening this time and you know it

Maybe you shouldn’t have got your club into a shit show and that wouldn’t have happened!

I’m looking forward to next season. Should be some great games and have no doubt Bolton will be up there but it won’t be as easy as you are making out.

As were both Yates and Doyle last season. Doyle hardly played much again once Covid struck after being made perm

Getting out of L2 was the priority. Achieve that, take stock and move forward. We’ve handed out 3 year deals this close season but they are to young players who will hopefully be assets - not a ball and chain.

Very true..getting a genuine 20 a season goalscorer who honours a 2/3 year contract is pretty much impossible in lge 2
The bigger clubs come sniffing and he usually gets his head turned by money.

Well, nobody’s going to come after Doyle. The problem is the 3 year deal you’ve given him. Can almost guarantee years 2 and 3 will see you paying big wages to a bit part player. You’d better hope he can help get you up this season

I was reffering to the younger players who shine in lge 2
Worst case scenario we dont go up this year...We will be stronger next season..Evatt is very confident of getting promotion.
Think we will be in the championship by the time Doyle and Evatt contract is up in 2023

Oh, well that’s OK then. He’s hardly going to say you’ll struggle. Even those managers who genuinely think they will struggle never admit it.

You do know there is no wave yet. Get 15-20 games under your belt and then give it the big ‘un.

Openly says we will be promoted this season....Never heard that from any manager before

He’s an idiot then.

Evatt didn’t take Barrow out of the NL at the first attempt and there are a number of new players at Bolton, who may not gel with their team-mates straight off. Should make the play-offs but have my doubts they’ll do better than that this season.

But he's had these players for 3 weeks now, apart from Delfounoso, so with another 5 weeks to start of season, 8 weeks to get a team gelling is more than enough, playoffs will be a disappointment to us fans.

Yeah, right.

He’s writing his own resignation letter saying that. Untried Manager, new squad, high earners. What could possibly go wrong?
