Kurt Willoughby now signed. Thoughts York fans?
Great guy, gives 100% every game and quality.Kurt Willoughby now signed. Thoughts York fans?
Hall.Hopefully Calum intends to play him centrally. We seem to already have the wide players in the squad, but just missing an experienced central striker. I may be completely wrong of course.
Hall is a big central striker, but I don't think he has much experience if you look at his stats. He looks more like a work in progress. He might be the player that Willoughby plays off.Hall.
I would expect Hereford to be a lot higher than 19th. Certainly upper play-off contenders. My predictions for next season.
1. Boston
2. AFC Plastic
3. Kidderminster
4.Buxton
5. Darlo
6.Spennymoor
7. Cheater
8. Brackley
9. Telford
10. Kings Lynn
11. Southport
12.Chorley
13. Alfreton
14. Leamington
15. Peterborough Sport & Leisure Club
16. Curzon Ashton
17. Gloucester
18. BPA
19. Hereford
20. Blyth
21.Scarborough
22. Banbury
23. Kettering
24. Farsley
Think Boston under Cox will boot/cheat their way out of this league.
Feel for Brackley good run club but lost that many players this season to challenge.
Darlo & Chester got better squads so should make play offs.
Played Buxton last season and they could push for title.
Hopefully kiddy can make it out this season somehow good club always do well.
Anyway will miss some good away days especially Blyth,Spennymoor even though they lie about away following,Alfreton and Curzon.
Will not miss Darlo away end even though I like the club and wish them well.
Certainly will not miss plastic club £lyde, fucking horrible owner and manager and Kettering.
Thought they had lost some players to kiddy and struggled back end of season.I

Realistically where do you think you will finish.Your squad looks a lot better but unproven manager could hold you back.I

Pretty much agree with that. Like Kiddy for top spot though and I'd swap Telford and Buxton around and then slot the former behind Darlo, Us and Spennymoor. My predictions for next season.

Buxton have money and looked a very good side when they knocked us out of FA Cup ,thought of putting them even higher.Pretty much agree with that. Like Kiddy for top spot though and I'd swap Telford and Buxton around and then slot the former behind Darlo, Us and Spennymoor.
I just remember Buxton falling away a bit halfway through last season before picking up again to win it, not sure why, know they have Virgilio now though. Think they’ll do well but not right at the top end, was thinking more 7th-9th.Buxton have money and looked a very good side when they knocked us out of FA Cup ,thought of putting them even higher.
Kiddy bottled it last season, thought they would see it out but failed miserably.Russ Penn is a great guy and hopefully they put it right but think you need an experienced manager in this division.
Also seen Alfreton have signed Denton so they will finish higher, the thought of watching a team with Denton and Rhead together makes me even more happy we not in that league.
Alfreton v Boston is going to be a classic?
Now managed by Jamie Vermiglio rather than Steve Cunningham, so let's see. Also had quite a turnover of players since then, losing players such as Jamie Ward and Ash Chamblers. Inherited James Hardy, who didn't set the world alight at Chester, but that might be a club thing.Buxton have money and looked a very good side when they knocked us out of FA Cup ,thought of putting them even higher. I was going to say the same thing about Buxton. They've lost Jamie Ward, who seemed to give them a big boost, and also I think Ash Chambers.I just remember Buxton falling away a bit halfway through last season before picking up again to win it, not sure why, know they have Virgilio now though. Can’t work out what Hereford are doing, they’ve just run a reasonably successful boost the budget but to me look weaker than last season, at the moment at least.
Hereford have lost both their player of the season (Pollock) and their top goalscorer (TOE), they lost several first teamers at the end of last season. Worth noting that Boston (Danny Elliott to Boreham), and Kettering (Connor Barrett to Fylde & Jordan Crawford to Boston) have had the same.
Buxton lost Ward to Ilkeston and a couple to Tamworth. Brackley have essentially lost their entire forward line and replaced with Stead from Kettering and Riccardo Calder who didn't score a league goal for Rushall in the SLP.

I think they lost 5 consecutive games during that spell, but amazingly picked up and went on a fantastic run.I just remember Buxton falling away a bit halfway through last season before picking up again to win it, not sure why, know they have Virgilio now though. New goalie at Boston United is Rhys Davies from Kettering Town.By far the best player on the pitch for Boston in our playoff game with them Femi Seriki was on loan from Sheff Utd and he's joined Rochdale on loan today. And they haven't managed to get Marcus Dewhurst back and I've not seen the GK they've replaced him with either.
Seems like a few squads have lost a lot of key players except maybe Fylde. I'm sure Fyldefan can say if they've lost a few but I haven't seen that their squad has been picked apart.
I think Brackley will be very interesting as it looks like their squad has been picked apart the most
I would be surprised if we finished as high as 2nd, but there is a good feel about us after almost 4 stagnant years under Bern and Jonno. Steve Watson did improve us and we were second or third highest scorers last season, but woeful defensively. We still have some of last seasons dfefence.Where's Dark Sith these days?
My prediction for the table is as follows...
1 Darlington
2 Chester
3 Kidderminster
4 Hereford
5 Boston
6 Southport
7 Scarborough

8-24 The Rest

Apparently Banbury's top scorer Chris Wreh is on trial at Southend. He's not signed a new contract, big loss for them if he goes.
I think they lost 5 consecutive games during that spell, but amazingly picked up and went on a fantastic run.
Tom Denton signs for Alfreton. Rhead and Denton both up top
Shields lost their final 2 matches as they went into them on same points and Buxton won their 2.I think at the end of the day South Shields wobbled a bit towards the backend of the season and Buxton seized the opportunity.
March alone was a bad month for Shields with 2, losses 2, draws and just the 2, wins.
