On paper a good chance of a Curzon win in this one because they have a solid win ratio away at Darlo and the recent form of home side.

But have not a clue because Curzon are weird really one week could easily
Compete with any of the top 3-4 sides and the next week get outplayed by any of the bottom 3-4 sides.

I'm really hoping Curzon get in the play offs and go up. It's few years since I took a game there but it's a nice ground. And having a game a bus ride away will be welcome in a South East dominated league.

Huge night for Curzon they win and Alfreton fail and now play offs is actually in their hands if they win their games.

Granted tjhe last two games is only the best two sides in the league back to back who…..for curzon to have a chance will both be needing to win that exact
Game for the title (by that I mean if curzon best Fylde it would probably then be in Kings Lynn hands vs….Curzon last day)

You could argue though with how season is playing Fylde and Kings Lynn is certainly better than playing Blyth and Bradford.

Darlington though……..season finished yet looked a cert not long ago.

Absolutely gutless from Darlo. An absolute shitshow. Pathetic.

It’s embarrassing. 1 win in fucking 15.

Armstrong needs to go.

Disappointing result. Not sure gutless is fair - first half we more than matched Curzon and but for a gutless decision by the referee in not sending their lad off for the blatant tug back on Hazel when last man the game might have been different. (The lad at Scarborough who abused the lady lino should be really proud, as he's ensured we have had sod all from referees ever since). We made one mistake at the back and as has been the case recently got punished. Liddle misses a point blank header, their lad slices a corner goalwards and somehow it doesn't go in (guaranteed it does at our end), and we are 1 down at half time. Curzon changed things second half, and we didn't create a great deal, but Hazel really should have made it 1-1 and within minutes they catch us on the break for 2-0. Good luck to Curzon, their fans were a credit to them and they play football the right way. Much rather them than Alfreton.

I was just looking and with Bradford winning Monday and Blyth and Curzon winning Tuesday this has got to at this stage of season be one of the most active end of seasons down here.

You have as such two games to go and just a point between the top two sides. Yet the side top doesn’t have it in their hands because second has a game in hand but that game comes with a twist.

You have just 3 points separating 5th from 12th, 3 teams out of 8 can grab a play off spot.

The. At the bottom you have as such 3 sides battling two relegation spots only one will survive but then comes the slight twist that if Bradford win their game in hand they are back in it.

And there is the twist as we have 4 teams with a game in hand but both are massive Bradford hosting Alfreton who both must win and Curzon hosting Fylde again who both must win all for differing reasons.

It's crazy how much there still is all to play for - i mean my team Spennymoor are not out of the play-off's yet, 3 points behind 7th place and even 4 points behind 5th but its kind of hoping results go our way, but it's still so close between the teams!

Never gonna happen was it mate on the night, credit to that little pipsqueak Mahon we could do with 3 or 4 of his calibre.

He never put a foot wrong. As for one or two other Curzon players they made it look so easy at times.

I keep on repeating myself. I don't know what the fuck AA says in the dressing room at half-time, but the second half was absolutely awful!

Very toxic fuckin night, rightly so the fans have a right to kick off after another shoddy display, 1 in 15 games gives them the right.

North east is interesting next season.

On one hand there should be a good lot of young players on market because Newcastle won’t be interested and Middlesbrough and Sunderland have focus elsewhere.

But competition for them next season especially non league is level will be fierce with Hartlepool, Gateshead, Darlington, South Shields, Spennymoor and possibly Blyth all after same ones.

Reminds me of this level a few seasons back with Altrincham, Stockport, Curzon, Stalynridge, FCUM all here.

Curzon have really done well from fact Stockport and Altrincham went full time ditching interest in local manc part timers and the others dropped down a level.

I'm pleased that Craig Mahon has had a new lease of life in his time with Curzon. An absolute legend for us, but very much a bit part player in his last season or two.

All we can do is win, we've hit form slightly too late to be properly in the battle but besting Buxton at the time who were unbeaten in 14, beating Fylde for the first time in 90 minutes and not choking when wvee come up agaisnt Farsley and struggling Telford have kept us in the mix.

Still don't think we'll make it but who knows what the league will look like come 5pm tomorrow.

Alfreton seem to have fell out of form in their last 3, Darlo look done, Curzon seem to be very hot and cold, Chorley haven't been in good form at all, Gloucester will probably make it honestly but Farsley won't be easy tomorrow and if the same Telford team turn up against Scarborough it's an easy 3 points for Scarborough.

Looking at the stats and games for play off battle since Curzon are involved, I’m expecting Scarborough should easily get in there (and don’t deserve it if they fail) two easy winnable games…..so one place is gone.

Brackley is an interesting one because I can see them losing both games, but they have a little more breathing room, but Brackley also have the biggest as such distracting options because drawing them games will pretty much kill off two of the main challengers and guarantee them a place so do you go for draws or wins there.
I think spenny and kiddy can win both but have to rely of other games,
Chorley I can see in the top 7 heading into last game but maybe playing Gloucester for the right to be in it.

Curzon are the form team, 6 wins and 3 draws in last 9 games but talk about worst fixtures ever to win. To get into the play offs they literally have to cost Fylde the title midweek and then cost kings lynn the title the following Saturday.

As horrible as it sounds I’ve discounted Darlo because they are just so badly out of form I don’t see it with any games and them currently.

Buxton I can see getting in, Scarborough for me also. Alfreton is a tough one as their games are so important for the other sides, then either Gloucester or Chorley and who knows with the other.

This league is ridiculous. Going into the final week of the season and 10 teams are mathematically still competing for 4 play off places.

Darlo appear to have bottled it, went up there drinking for first time in years recently so looking forward to playing them if it happens.
Is everyone else looking forward to a trip to Gainsborough…

Crazy season. Still don't think we'll do it but somehow we've taken it to the final game.

We're unbelievable at starting games currently.

Last 5 games
V Farsley, Pearce 4'
V Buxton Hemmings 1'
V Fylde Morgan-Smith 3'
V Telford Byrne 2'
V Southport Hemmings 1'

And we've gone on to win all those. With us playing Kettering it gives us a very good chance to win on the last day and sneak into the playoffs. Hopefully other results go our way.

Very very enjoyable game today, not best of results but cannot begrudge Boston that they really deserved a win for their effort.

Even game sortve turned when we got a fully deserved penalty but they at same time had a ridiculous red from same moment…..I thought in the rules it was only a yellow if pen given????

Red then evened it up giving them a weak pen to get back in front then they battled well throughout with us probing and finally getting a breakthrough at death, not ideal to flog a home game can 10 men but that point gained in injury time may be vital .

Only now need to cost Fylde the title midweek to then cost kings lynn it next week to get in!?!?

Ain’t happening but we can at least have a go

We have been absolutely dogshit since New Years & it's nowhere near acceptable, yet some fans seem to be quite content with 1 win in 16.

Looking forward to the away game in Scunthorpe next year. My daughter lives in Cleethorpes, so it's a perfect reason have a weekend down there too.

Peterborough Sports have managed to switch their fixture to Kettering due to the state of their ground, which they've already had a month's extension to meet the original deadline they missed. The National League are an absolute joke. They should have been demoted for missing the deadline, everyone knows March 31st when the season kicks off. Feel for the Darlo fans, you've been royally shafted there.

Typical from Chav Sports. it's not easy to get to Kettering's ground either.

This is where you realise pissing everyone else off isn't going to help :woot:Posh are at Home and i don't think any of the other local grounds are up to hosting NLN football. not that they would help.

Well and truly bottled it big style from a more or less certain top 7 finish!

Went to Gainsborough a canny few years ago drew 3-3 and we should have got beat.

I don't see how they've got away with this announcement of switching our fixture at such short notice.

It's unacceptable! I'm absolutely pissed off what a tin pot club.

Should they forfeit the 3 points? Either that or a points deduction?

Then again I don't think they give a shit! The National League are an embarrassment shame on them.
